Utah College of Dental Hygiene

I am a recently graduated student from UCDH and cannot express how grateful I am for my experience there. It's a rough road for any dental hygiene student no matter where he/she goes. However, I can say that this school will make sure you're prepared for boards and the real world! This was something I took for granted until I had a chance to interact with students from other schools. It's tough, but it's so worth it!

The staff, teachers, and clinical instructors are all awesome and really do care about you and how you are doing in the program. In clinic you are also able to complete what are called "mock" boards and "mock" anesthesia boards. These helped me immensely! I just took boards this last weekend and passed, and I feel that the opportunities and instruction I had as a student at Utah College of Dental Hygiene really helped set me up for that success.

I took my 3 children in to get cleanings today with 3 different students. The students were VERY cute with my kids. They were very comprehensive and offered other services like panoramic X-rays, sealants, and dental exams at minimal costs. They each took time to educate my children in how to brush and floss which is so important. My kids left with big smiles on their faces and excited to show me what they were taught tonight when they brush their teeth at home. It does take longer at the school but the attention to detail and the time they spend with each patient is worth my time. Best $10 I've ever spent.

I am glad I chose Utah College of Dental Hygiene for my education. I was debating whether getting an associates or bachelors degree, I chose a bachelors degree and it's a great accomplishment. Many more doors opened up for me in my career. UCDH strives for the success of each student. They truly set you for success.

The fact that the program is only 20 months and is a Bachelors degree is the reason I chose this school! The instructors really want you to succeed and they do everything they can to help you pass! They really do prepare you for board exams and working in the real world.
