My family and I came here for Mother's Day and what a disappointment this experience was. We got there and stood at the hostess station for like 10 mins and no one would wait on us to seat us at our table and we had reservations. When we went to the buffet area the first plate I picked up had mushy food and gravy on the bottom of it and I had it all on my hand. The next two plates after that were dirty as well. We arrived at 2:15 and this establishment was supposed to stay open until 3 p.m. Some of the containers that held the food were empty and they were not being refilled. All of the food was cold when it was supposed to be warm. The only reason why I am giving one star is because of our waiter. He came to our table multiple times to fill our water and cleared our plates in a timely manner and was courteous. This experience was NOT worth $30 per person.

We were so disappointed with Vivian's on Mother's day! We chose Vivian's for the elegant atmosphere and menu choices. We made a reservation for 34 people which we knew may be difficult to accommodate; but were assured it wouldn't be a problem.
We weren't seated until 20 minutes past our reservation time, then were ushered into a huge room with stark white walls, a ton of banquet tables and hideous table cloths.
Not one person explained to us what was going on but after sitting for awhile we figured out that our only option was to eat from a buffet....at the cost of $30/person! To top it off, the drinks were extra! During two or three phone calls to Vivian's to make the reservation, not once was the buffet mentioned.
The wait staff seemed to be hired for that day as they were in street clothes and seemed almost as clueless as we were. We felt a lot like cattle being shoved in a back room to feed as many as possible with the least amount of effort.
The food choices were abundant, but sub par in quality. Many of the items had run out by the time we had gone through the line.
Overall, the whole experience was a huge bummer when we were trying to set up a special day for our mothers and grandmothers. I wish the manager would have just said that they couldn't accomodate
us and we would have happily gone to somewhere at least less complicated to park near.

We were at Vivian's a week ago on Saturday night. We had reservations for 90 minutes before our concert a few blocks away. When we arrived it was very busy. We were in a group of 4. We asked our waitress if we'd be done in time to make the show. She checked and came back to say she thought it would be tight but would work. We ordered 4 appetizers. Not even meals to help speed it along. Our service was terrible. It took 20 minutes to get drinks. After waiting to order for 15 more minutes. Only 2 of our 4 apps came 5 minutes before before we needed to leave. We could see 3 of our apps sitting on the window waiting to be delivered for 10 minutes.
I will be honest as we were not charged for the food and drinks we didn't get. But I was totally disappointed we didn't even get an apology from our waitress. We had hired a sitter and everything. Very dissappointed as a parent's night out is hard to come by. And we had reservations.

Great atmosphere... Our server, Abby, was very, very good!. We had the chiliquiles, east coast Benedict, toad in a hole, and a basic eggs meal... Food was cooked perfectly, portion size was great. Top to bottom, a fantastic brunch experience... You'll love it here!

Went to Mother's Day buffet and it was incredibly disappointing. Food was terrible. Not a single item was warm as the food must have been in cookers for hours. No fresh foods. Meats were rubbery. Even made-to-order omelets were blah and not fresh. Don't recommend especially for $30 pp cost. Service was just okay.
