VRE - Manassas Park Station

On February 6, 2018, I boarded the wrong train at the L'Enfant Plaza location. As a fairly new rider, it was not until I had passed the transfer point (Alexandria) that I realized I was heading to Manassas instead of Fredericksburg. Did I mention, it's after 5pm and heavy rains? What do I do now? Well, I walked to one of the kindest and most professional VRE representatives (Asa) who, by the way, was familiar with riders boarding the wrong trains. As I'm listening to my options, a feeling of confusion is creeping in. Asa must've recognized that look and offered another option. You're simply not going to believe this one...Asa drove me from the last stop (on the Manassas line) to my VRE station. Tell me, "Who does that?!?" I'll tell you who...Asa, the absolute kindest and most considerate VRE employee. He is the epitome of one who provides outstanding customer service!! Thank you Asa and thank you, VRE owners/management team, for hiring the best and brightest employees who go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure the safety and satisfaction of your customers. P.S. During the long car ride, Asa provided a much needed 101 training course on VRE's policies, guidance and regulations for riders. Asa is a very knowledgeable employee who loves his job! Easy access. Lots of free parking.

Good spot to catch the VRE. There's a good amount of parking (it can get full for the last train). There tends to be one or two non-functional ticket machines (which stinks if you're in a rush) but other than that it gets the job done.

Great train station/platform. Parking lot always has some open spaces unless you come after the last morning train (8am).
