Wakefield Aquatics Center

Giving it 2 stars because the staff is SO RUDE! I was there several times with my kids last year and it was the same rude staff members. They didnt let kids use life jackets, I called the main office and only then they let us use the jackets. Today it was the same story, no life jackets, cold temperature , wide open three emergency exits with running fan because “It is too hot for the staff” (while little kids were shivering from drafty cold air), when requested to close at least one door because it was cold and windy, the staff agresively refused. So my three year old was cold and shivering all the time :(

Excellent facilities. Clean, large. The water is kept a nice inviting temperature. 5 stars.

The pool and facility is great, staff is friendly, and if you choose the right times lanes are available. The water quality is really good! But lets be honest; it's at a high school and often the men's looker room could use an extra cleaning. The facility gets really crowded on Saturday's during lessons. I wish they would stay open an extra hour, in the evening, and when school is out let the lap swimmers stay until 9am.

Good pool for laps. Rarely have to share a lane during day time. Well maintained. Only issue is that it is attached to a highschool and parking can be difficult during the school year.
