No issues with the building other than it’s outdated and in serious need of renovations. The management company however are awful. Typical dishonest NY real estate. They have been lying to me for 6 weeks and counting about returning my deposit, using the good old “the check is in the mail” excuse. Dear WAM, please do the right thing and return what is owed to me.
From my first encounter with the WYOMING, I was impressed. A true hidden gem in the heart of Manhattan, offering everything you could ever want or need within a few minutes walking distance, museums, shopping, Carnegie Hall, movie theaters, Broadway, the finest restaurants, Lincoln Center, 24-hour grocery, nearby access to almost all subway lines, Fifth Avenue Apple Store, basically everything and anything, there's even two excellent health food stores only blocks away. There isn't a more convenient location to avail yourself of all the city's attractions with Central Park just steps away from your front door. The superb location is just one of the reasons I love the WYOMING, but there are others. The building is overseen by a truly outstanding management team that provides the most responsive and reliable service and support. They have always done their utmost to accommodate me and responded sincerely and timely to my requests so that I've never been disappointed in any way. Often, I've even been pleasantly surprised by the lengths they've gone to to ensure I'm pleased with the outcome. They are most assuredly one of the finest management teams there is. The WYOMING is also an exceptionally well-run well-maintained building with the warmest, friendliest, most helpful staff imaginable, they are the ones that are responsible for making the WYOMING a very special place to live. The building surely has one of the city's best superintendents who expertly manages an always dependable and professional crew that provides tenants with excellent service. A job request for a minor repair is almost always attended to within 24 hours, and sometimes that same day. An urgent situation is responded to immediately. All the doormen represent the building well with their welcoming demeanor and attentive assistance. The WYOMING is a dynamic pre-war jewel of a building, with some of the requisite sought-after features of times past still intact, decorative fireplaces, original wood floors, wainscoting, french doors, plaster walls, deep window reveals, high ceilings etc. making for quiet, charming, grand apartments and gracious living. I'm so happy to call the WYOMING home.
The Meurice is a great to live, being in an excellent location right in the centre of New York City, It is a paradise for runners and cyclist with central park within a 1 minute walk and for shoppers with madison avenue a block away. The staff and doormen are more friendly and helpful than you can possibly imagine. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a place to live in the most exciting city in the world!
The Meurice is one of my favorite buildings with its antique facade and classy atmosphere. The people who work there are incredibly friendly and receptive to your needs. They greet you in the morning by your first name and give you a hand when you could need it. The building's location is key, only a few minutes away from central park and in the heart of midtown, the area offers entertainment, restaurants and shopping.
I highly recommend, very good apartments at very reasonable prices. No complaints at all and the leasing department is very prompt to respond to you unlike other places you have to call several times and the people are morons. I would give William Moses a grade of 94/100
William Moses Co. has had scaffolding in front of the Van Dorn 150 W 58 and the Meurice 145 W 58 since early 2007. Yes, that's six-and-a-half years as of this writing. Both facades were declared Hazardous by the city in 2007, but William Moses Co has never repaired them. Shame on them. They're received multiple ECB violations at the Aggravated and Immediately Hazardous level, but the sidewalk sheds are still there.
This building is by far the best in the area. The staff are all super nice and its in the best area in the city. There are so many great place to go see and eat at. Its amazing how this area and building continue to get better over time.
Several friends live here and nobody has any complaints. The staff is great, the upkeep and facilities are very nice, and management is very professional and stays on top of things. Highly recommended!
