Took a walk to my local Wawa yesterday at 2954 Va. Beach Blvd. and was very disappointed in the appearance of the exterior paved areas, landscaping, and lawn areas. The foot print of this store is making a very negative impact within our community. There was trash debris all around the store from the front entrance to the back, curb gutters, even on the roadway of N. Lynnhaven Road and across the street into the tree line and down to where the street water run off goes into the Lynnhaven River. Instead of mulch in the landscaping, there was trash and small plastic debris. Trash was hanging in the bushes like a well decorated Christmas tree. If the outside is an indicator of how the inside is kept, I will not eat there again.....corporate needs to perform an inspection and implement a clean up plan.
This used to be a great Wawa. Horrible experience last night. Manager was rude and disrespectful. We placed an online order for dinner. People waiting in line were opening our food wrappers checking and touching our food to see if it was their order. I checked and our food was out in the open and had been touched by multiple people. I asked for a bag. The manager Wayne said no. No bags. There was a stack of paper bags on the counter. He refused to put our food in a bag and would not provide us with a bag for our order. He disrespected me in front of the other customers. He stated that your online order should only include items you can carry without a bag. The manager also spoke to my wife with a demeaning and unprofessional tone. She just asked about her smoothie order and why it was not with our other food items for pick up. He quickly became incensed and told her that he did not care about her issue. He could care less about the quality and safety of the food he was preparing. His actions created an unsafe environment for food preparation and food storage. We will never return to this store again while this manager is there. Beware unless you support poor customer server and unsafe food preparation and food practices.
Hands down the worst Wawa I’ve been to in the Hampton Roads area. We consistently receive incorrect food orders, the “grab and go” hot food is always out of stock, coffee is consistently empty, and they NEVER have hash browns in the morning. Definitely recommend driving by this location if you’re hungry. The staff is hit or miss on their customer service quality as well. The younger employees have been extremely unprofessional in past visits to the location and management has an indifferent demeanor when confronted about issues. They have lost my business. I will gladly drive further to visit another location in the future.
They were having a bad day when I went in there last plus it was the beginning of the gas prices increasing drastically.
Wish I could give it a negative 100! Very unprofessional and this is me speaking as a teen! We only went to get a couple bags of chips and my dad stopped to go-to the restroom, he went in there and there was a cleaning lady in the bathroom so he waited politely, five minutes later he had to go very bad so he knocked again this was round the time an employee went in the ladies bathroom when he was speaking to the cleaning lady, the employee named Celine asked him what was wrong so he told her everything, and she said some nasty things, saying he could pee on the floor or outside for all she cares, will never darken their doorstep again. 0000000/10
I live less than a half mile away. I order from this place daily or every other day and visit often for my gas. This evening, I was on my way home after a long night at work and wanted to grab a quick hard seltzer and a water to top off the night. Nothing crazy, just a teensie unwinding before the holiday. I needed gas, a couple of groceries, water, and some food too. When I got there, the cashier told me they cut alcohol sales off at 11:45pm. No real reason for it -- just for their own arbitrary reasons and "convenience", despite the state cutoff being midnight. Normally this isn't a big deal for me, but there is no real reason for a gas station to be doing this on a random weekday evening. What does 15 minutes save the store? Nothing meaningful. Went a couple blocks up the road and gave the 7 Eleven ALL of my business: grocery items, food, water, gas, etc go there: 425 Kings Grant Rd. Will definitely be looking elsewhere other than this store if I have last minute needs, so I can avoid arbitrary inconveniences like this, and will be reconsidering other daily purchases. No thanks.
Clean store, decent prices, friendly service. Poor selection - rather NO selection - of wines, unless you like chilled whites or sickly sweet moscatos
Employee with the blue hair is rude for no reason. Completely out of baked goods, coffees were all out, and breakfast sandwiches gone. Customers just waiting forever. Seemed like no one was restocking anything til last minute. Front staff/cashiers are pleasant.
Honestly a great WaWa they have everything you need which is typical but the people who make the sandwiches are awesome and usually get it done in a timely manner. The registers can get a little crowded but it's to be expected honestly. Now when it comes to eating this I think it's important that things are usually stocked and well organized which I think is important for easy grab and go. Good parking as well not often you always have a spot at gas stations but this one has a large amount of space and places to sit.
Nice people good service but you MUST bring your own jelly. They don't have any. I've been here twice and today I've found out that they don't EVER have jelly because it's not a part of their ordering. I travel all over to different states and patronize Wawa because I'm a fan of Wawa. I've never had this experience before. What would be the reason I wonder. So fellow travelers, if you want jelly on your bagel, toast, or croissant.......you better byoj...bring your own jelly!!!!
