Great place to hang out. Some of the fields should be fixed up. Fun Place to meet new people and start football, soccer, rugby or any sport.

This is a small, family oriented, beach tucked away in Stamford that is quaint and quiet. I find that the crowds aren't overwhelmingly large like other area beaches, especially in NY, and the area is clean quiet and has a serene, peaceful feel to it. The parking lot is not tremendously large, so on warm summer days I think it would be best to arrive as early as possible to assure you get a spot. The parking fee is pretty hefty for out-of-state visitors at $25. I do believe it is less expensive for CT residents. Despite the heft of the parking fee, I would recommend this small beach for a relaxing day in the water or to just tan and unwind. Grills are not welcome, but there's a wonderful deli called All Italian American Gourmet Deli on Shippan Ave, which is just a short walk away. Alcohol/beer is also not welcome in glass containers, so come prepared.

Good little beach! Not crowded on the Sunday I visited. Clean and manicured sand! The tide was down in my pictures, so the seaweed and rocks are usualy not visible. Little hermit crabs crawling around are fun as well! :) no food stands! Surprised by that! Great entrepreneurial opportunity for someone! Could use some more parking as well!

This park has some of the best maintained soccer fields. I have gone several times to watch a friend's son play soccer games. Several games can be played at once on the artificial turf fields. There are benches for those watching the games and a couple of porta potty behind the stands.

This is a public beach with plenty of parking. Same entrance as the ballfields, but all the way back. You need to buy a sticker during the summer. Nice playground. You can walk over the levee and go to Brennan's for lunch.
