Westside Riding School

We went on a couples ride. The guide was very nice and the horses were wonderful, the trail was also very beautiful. On a clear day you can see much of the coast, Catalina island and most of los Angeles.

Be aware riders, Dorte the owner will take your money and never refund you back what is owed to you!! West Side riding school is not qualified to be called school!! This is not a professional school in any way and will not teach you to excel in riding. It lacks organization, planing, and programming. My experience with this school over the past eight months been nothing but disappointing!!

My initial experience with this riding school is not satisfactory. Although their website says to schedule trails rides one week in advance, we were not very fortunate. I contacted Janice one week prior to our trip to Los Angeles, and unfortunately we were not able to book a trail ride because she explained they get "very booked" on weekends. Not sure if they have limited horses available or just not adequately prepared for large number of riders on the weekends. If you have a business that is so popular, you should make arrangements to have adequate services available, especially for out of town guests. She put us on a wait list (for cancellations) but she didn't sound very hopeful. What a shame to have to write an unsatisfactory review. We are in Los Angeles a very short time, so better or more options, would have gone a long way for visitors who are not locals.
