Woodlands | Indian Vegetarian Cuisine

Please note that before the construction and new ownership, this place used to be 5 stars. With the new ownership, this place is nowhere as good as it used to be. Now, Sitar on West End is probably the best affordable Indian restaurant you will find around Nashville. If you are looking for the same good food that used to be here, go to Madras Palace in south Nashville, where the old owner is now. Woodlands is very average, and not worth a repeat visit. What makes me qualified to write this review? I’m Indian. End of story.

Great vegetarian Indian food! Highly recommend if you’re a vegetarian or just a fan of really good Indian food. This is one of the best in Nashville!

The food was excellent but I wanted to order off of the menu and they only let me order the buffet at lunch. This was the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I loved how every table got a plate of dosas (gluten free). The best part was that gluten free foods were clearly labelled on the buffet and most buffet items were gluten free.

Best indian veg food I had in Nashville. Was surprised to see fluffy phulka on my plate. Must visit if you are vegi/ vegan.

Not as good under new ownership. Previous owner and crew are at Mysore Palace in Cool Springs.
