Wyndham Newport Onshore

We have a timeshare here and have had one for some time. The location is fantastic with great parking. The units are very nice and well laid out and outfitted. There were a couple of years where maintenance of some items were an issue but the units were updated a few years back and were updated well. It has both an indoor and outdoor pool as well. You can walk to many restaurants and shops on Thames, you can even walk to First beach but it is a bit of a hike. I love staying here, it is the high point of my year every year. I can sit on the balconies for hours on end just watching the harbor. I can definitely recommend staying here.

Stayed here with my mom for a few days in a 2 bedroom. The view was really nice. There were 2 balconies so you could see 2 different views. We could see the sunset out one and they were beautiful. My mom was staying 2 weeks and needed some more things for the room and I wanted a box fan. We called the front office to ask and they said yes we'll bring it right up. They brought some stuff but some things we didn't need and not what we needed. No box fan, but we had left before they got there so maybe they didn't wanna leave it outside the door, which I get. We went the next day to the office to ask for one, and when we got back that night it was in the room. It needs a little TLC in there. I noticed some chipped paint and rusty spots. I opened a cabinet and a screw came flying off. But otherwise it was clean.

Spacious rooms in a great location! Enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the sunset over the water. Restaurants and museums within walking distance. Will definitely stay here again!Rooms: 5/5

This place definitely needed more thorough cleaning but definitely a upgraded that capped off a weekend going to another town from a Christmas weekend and hopefully wanna do more when we come backRooms: 3/5

We love this resort! Decks on both sides of the unit, looking out to the harbor. Love the cries of the seagulls. Could sit for hours looking at the water. Close to everything!Rooms: 5/5

The location is perfect! You're close to so many shops, bars, lounges, and things to do. The view is amazing! Sitting on the balcony staring at the water while eating our breakfast was the perfect start to every morning. Would definitely recommend!Rooms: 5/5

The location was great, in a very central area. The resort is walking distance to the local shops and restaurants. There are very nice views of the harbor from the balconies of each room. This is my second time returning to this location and I am quite happy here. Newport is ideal for a summertime getaway, but an absolute ghost town in the winters.

Well worth the trip even if it was mid February. Newport is an amazing place to see. The location is great to get to anywhere without a huge journey. Comfortable suite and a convenience for your time
