Yard House

Always down for the Yard House! This time around I was disappointed in the food. I don’t know if the kitchen has new cooks, the old cooks just don’t care or they forgot how pricey the food is and how good it should taste. The poke nachos came out dry. Raw tuna with no flavor is rough and I usually love that appetizer. We had the vampire tacos and the pork tasted like gasoline. I switched meals with my other half 😜 and his pasta was dry, the mushrooms just missed the cooking pan as well as the asparagus. One bad meal is enough but 3 is awful. The bartender dude ended up taking care of the pasta but it was disappointing. The drinks are always bomb and of course this place is great to catch sports games but the food can be disappointing.

This is my 3rd visit. I like it enough that I do not protest when someone suggests it. This time was the least impressive. The classic burger came and it was beautifully put together. My friends kept remarking at how great it looked! But alas, the flavor did not live up to the presentation. The meat was not seasoned at all. And the "garlic aioli" was just mayo w/a noticeable garlicky flavor. I've had other dishes here that were better. This one wasn't terrible, just not great.

My experience here was pretty lackluster. The beer selection was fantastic, but that's about all they had going for them. We ordered the tacos. which were incredibly overpriced considering Tin Lizzy is just a few steps away. The servers were nice, but they got switched halfway through our meal, and when I unwrapped my flatware, the fork still had food on it. The overall experience and the inflated prices left me with no desire to return.

Pretty solid food! I’ve only heard great things about this place and I’ve finally got to experience it for myself!!! The chefs are among the best of the best in the Greenville area. This is definitely a place to go for special occasions where you don’t have to feel pressured to dress really formal. Date night/birthday/anniversary are probably celebrated here the most. You can always count on the food being top notch!

The Yard House is a little noisy but a fun, upbeat trendy atmosphere pervades. They serve good, nouveau fare, with a distinctly American flare on most dishes. The flavor and quality of their meals are both great even if they are a little pricey. It is a good, fun place to get creative food somewhere between a pub and a steakhouse.
