Zaro's bakery is a perfect location inside Penn station thats very convenient. The staff was really nice. The small dining seats were clean. I actually sat a bit before ordering. Bagels were bit too dry. I really enjoyed a chocolate croissant and butter crossaint. A simple crossaint is always a great bite for breakfast. My friend thought their coffee was tasty. It's definitely a great place for quick bite.
I’m a big fan of the pastry at Zaro’s. Whenever I pass through Penn Station, I usually pick up some biscotti, rugula, and a few other sweet pastries.
Had the “Traditional” sandwich. Egg and cheddar on an everything bagel. $5.82 after tax. The bagel was delicious and is the entirety of the three stars. The egg left a lot to be desired and appeared pre-made/frozen. Will probably just get a bagel with cream cheese next time.
REVIEW FOR THE CAKES THEY SELL IN HARRIS TEETER Blackout Cake- the cake is expensive, $14 and is tiny. It kind of taste a little stale even though the expiration is more than a week away. Bought the cake for a dinner party and everyone had a sliver, it was just meh. I have definitely had cheap box cakes that taste a lot better.
Baked goods are delicious! Bagels especially. I had a toasted everything bagel with scallion cream cheese - amazing and so filling! A whole meal itself. Always busy for a reason! The cashier was a bit confused and had to ring up my order in two parts.
Great customer service, delicious pastries, and a tasty breakfast wrap for dinner! Definitely recommend if you're waiting for the train in Penn Station. I had the southwestern breakfast wrap, prune danish, and jelly donut; couldn't help getting a second pastry after I saw the awesome display
I was craving a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese and jelly, and it was just wast of a cheat meal. I asked for it to be toasted, it was not, she put so much cream cheese on and just looped the jelly on top. The bagel was stale. I should have just said no thank you once I saw how she was making it. That’s what I get for being greedy.
Helped me out a lot when I was stranded, very nice people working there, Baked goods are really high quality, I can’t recommend this place enough! To the guy working there who let me borrow his phone when I needed to: thank you!
5 star potential. 3 for the execution. Great location to get a quick bite before a bus or train. They got my order wrong tho sooooo they need to get it together. Cant blame it on being packed cuz it's always packed in Penn Station.
Said toasted bagel 3 times but the worker did NOT toast the bagel and gave very little vegetable creams cheese when I got on the train at Penn station.
