Horrible rude staff. Got 2 misdiagnosis, was told I could not leave with my dog even though I was trying to pay. They had already added euthanasia to my bill and couldn’t figure out how it fix it. Incredibly insensitive and added stress to an already tough time. Do not go to this vet. $1350 later and I am so angry at the way my dog and I were treated. I sat on the floor with my dog they told me was dying for 7 hours in an exam room and the vet came and spoke to me one time for less than 5 minutes. They only seemed interested in putting my dog to sleep and collecting their money. I have been a customer with 3 dogs here for years and will never set foot in this building again.
My newly adopted rescue wasn't doing well. My regular vet was booked, so had to take him in to the emergency vet. They did a great job!! By the time we left my poor guy was on the mend with a wagging tail. He's back to playing with his new brother.
They got my Henry Old English Sheepdog in quickly when I arrived. It only took the vet about 20 minutes to diagnosis the problem, prescribe and fill his medications, fit him with a new E-collar and send us home. The vet called me while I was in the lobby and explained all the medications, then the vet tech came out and made sure I understood all the instructions for administering the medications. The staff was friendly and thorough. I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone needing emergency services. The only thing that I would have changed is to have been seen in an exam room with the vet while they were examining Henry, but I understand COVID protocols. Thank you for taking great care of my Henry!
Went here with a sick dog. At the time that we arrived even prior to assessment, I was quoted multiple dollar amounts including the fact that if they did x-rays and if not able to clearly read them they would have to charge an additional fee to send the x-rays out. Of course that ended up happening. I don’t know that they even actually did that. The next problem was I was told that my dog needed an ultrasound and I would have to go either to Winston-Salem or Cary for this. I asked if the other emergency vet over off of interstate 40 didn’t have ultrasound services and they said “they don’t, we called”. That was later found to be a bald face lie confirmed same night by phone and next day by email. Finally they quoted me $4000-$6000 in order to perform an emergency spay. To me a $2000 range is pretty broad. At that point I had lost trust and asked them to just give her antibiotics and let me take her home. The next day upon going to a regular vet, they read the exact same x-rays that they had obtained from this clinic and stated that it was clear what the problem was. Ultimately they charged me less than half to provide the exact same services. In my opinion, this clinic is not at all interested in the well-being of your pet. They are interested only in lining their pockets. I would not trust them. I would go to the other emergency clinic off of Guilford College Road at interstate 40. When I called that clinic, they were kind enough to give me some advice over the telephone to ensure that my pet was safe through the night.
We recently had to put down our 17-year-old best friend. Even with her old age, it was very sudden. We took her straight to After Hours on a Saturday night and were immediately seen. From the receptionist, to the vet techs, to the veterinarian.. we cannot thank you all enough for your professionalism. One of the hardest days was made easier by your staff. Bella never met a stranger and we knew she was in great hands. Thank you, again.
My experience was absolutely outstanding!!! My little rescue dog, maltipoo mix, swallowed something she should not have. It was around 11:00pm on a Saturday night, and they took such great care of my little Essie!!! Everyone there was so kind, compassionate, and very professional!!! I will definitely use this wonderful place again, when needed!!! Thank you all for what you did for my Essie!!! And thank you for your sweet spirit!!!!
I would give this place 0 stars if it was possible. I’ve never seen a vets office with so many pending lawsuits. Be sure to ask how much the visit is going to be - they will make up a random price, hold your pet hostage, misdiagnosis and mistreat your pet while in their care, then charge boarding fees 3 times what they quoted. I had to pay a reputable vet another grand to fix the damage these people did. The bratty ‘mean girls’ at reception are clearly desperate for attention. After arguing with me loudly about the rate because they are incapable of performing simple math, they were rude, unprofessional and overall pathetic. Even though these poorly selected receptionists had me fill out a new contact form, they still used my ex-husbands name on my file, who happens to be abusive. When asked to remove his name so that he can’t locate my address by calling these not-so-bright ‘ladies’, they laughed and refused to do so. Hopefully this place gets its management and staff in order, otherwise it’s going yo be difficult for GC pet owners to find emergency care. Definitely go elsewhere if you care about your pet at all.
my pup sage had a knot on her head , i decided to get it checked out at this place. the staff here is awesome , the lady at the front desk was super sweet & welcoming .. they kept me updated on everything that was going on with sage and even answered my questions when i called to get additional updates . we did stay here for quite awhile from about 11am - 9pm BUT i did not mind at all as i watched sick and helpless animals pour in .. this will forever be the place i go if my sage girl is needing any type of after hour care :
I was price gouged. Nothing was posted about the prices of the services. The nurses AND the Vet non-nonchalantly asked for permission to do certain clinical services which seemed routine. my cat was sneezing and they ran an X-ray and blood panel. to check the cat for Pneumonia. I didn't question them because it seemed rudimentary to check the respiratory system using x-rays. At one point the Vet asked if I wanted to to keep my cat over for observation over night or just get antibiotics; Which I was puzzled and said ...what is wrong with the cat that she NEEDS to be admitted overnight? They shot X-RAYS which I didn't see, I didn't see results of a blood panel which they claim they drew. At the end of the visit my cat did have an upper respiratory system but her lungs were clear head cold. Then I got a bill that was ludicrous. This clinic has criminal business practices, no "emergency" services were administrated that wouldn't warrant such a Bill. Avoid this place unless in a real emergency. If you have to go to them demand a price for service list.
As so often happens my sheltie needed attention for a severe UTI a day after I picked him up from being boarded. It was about 9 PM when I took him to the clinic. We were able to get checked in upon arrival. He was immediately taken back to the vet for review and treatment. I was kept informed during that time and advised of their analysis and treatment. Before they brought him out I was informed of their treatment, medication and care when he arrived home. The clinic will be the first place I go should I have a pet that needed emergency care. If I ever need to change veterinarians I wouldn't hesitate to bring my pet to that clinic.
