Although this trail is pretty small, in comparison to the massive hiking spots I usually go to, it is quite gorgeous! A couple bonus features - there are restrooms here, and even better – you can bring your pups! That’s right! This is a dog friendly, hiking trail. No bicycles allowed. It’s not very long, at a medium to slow pace, you could do the whole thing in probably 30 minutes. There are a couple of nice viewing decks where you might have the opportunity to see a manatee or alligator. I have seen plenty gopher tortoises here, and a few snakes. I strongly suggest spraying yourself with insect repellent to not only avoid ravenous, biting flies and mosquitoes, but ticks as well.
Clean and well kept. It's the perfect park to take a stroll on a beautiful day. I didn't notice any playgrounds so it may not be suited for small children. There are bathrooms and picnic areas.
This is a great place to go for a walk. It’s a big trail loop probably about a half mile. There are spots along the river that you can sit and look, there a few picnic tables, trash cans, and a bathroom. It was clean and had a lot of shade, and there was nobody there, I will definitely be going back
A wonderful island of wildlife where you can enjoy a quiet walk along the sandy paths of the subtropical forest and, if you are lucky, watch the manatees from a specially equipped platform
Trails were clean and easy to walk through. Bathrooms were decent. Sitting area at fishing pier has a picnic table, spots for poles and a trash can. Also a good spot to watch manatees.
Very small and the signs are a bit confusing, nothing amazing. Good walking trail.
Short walk, perfect for dogs, great spot!! Dog-friendliness: Low traffic area and the dogs love the new scenery
This quiet little park was a perfect place to walk the dog on sandy trails in natural habitat. Restrooms, picnic tables and a nice lagoon overlook.
A nice small sanctuary that allows dogs on leashes
Great trail. But don’t go by yourself as a male. Apparently this park is a hot spot for “gay cruisin”. I’ve been followed multiple times, and have had to make it clear I’m just there to walk my dog.
