Their mac and cheese is terrible. Other than that I had a great experience. The doctors and nurses were friendly and answered all my questions. The cleaning, clerical, security and cafeteria staff were kind and helpful. I did not have a negative experience with anyone on the staff the two days I was there. The hamburgers were good and the fish sandwiches were excellent. Some of the best jello I've ever had. Just stay away from the Mac and cheese.
I wasn't feeling well due to a disability and the hospital was right there. What best place to be then at the hospital right? As I entered the lobby, a group of ladies where sitting together. One in particular, a bigger black woman, I asked for a mask for. She asked if I was a patient of visitor and I said, I'm not feeling well and want to go to the bathroom. She said sorry you can't be here and asked me to leave. I said okay can I please get a mask please? She yelled at me and grabbed the masks saying no these are not for you please leave. I was stunned to be treated like this in a hospital of all places. To be the main POC as you enter the hospital and be treated like this is astonishing. Not only that, as I was walking away, she started laughing and making fun of me with her peers. How rude!
If there was an option for no stars you would get that. This is the 3rd hospitalization in a row for my father where your care is inept at best. Your nursing staff sits at the desk laughing and playing on their phones while the IV pump sits and alarms for 10 plus minutes. Yes there were 6 of them talking about their weekend plans and what is for dinner in the cafeteria. Walked out 4 times to have someone get it to hear "We will be there In a minute". My Dad is there for a heal ulcer and they keep letting his heel lay on the bed. A HOSPITAL acquired heel ulcer from his last hospitalization! He can't move his legs to fix himself. Calling corporate does nothing! But yet his insurance dictates he has to go back to this sad excuse for a hospital. If you want 3rd world country medical care with a less than caring staff this place is for you. AGH...you really have hit rock bottom.
I am laying in bed here now at agh. I have been here for 3 days since my surgery. I haven’t seen my surgeon and have questions. The nurses and aides are awful! Every time I ask for help it’s, ok be there in a minute. The last time I called which was just a little bit ago I told them my nose was bleeding. Once again, no one! An hour went by and I called again because I had to move my bowels. I’m 67 and said they better come soon, to myself, because sometimes when I need to go it’s now. And when someone came I said oh by the way I think I figured out what my nose bleed was from. Never even got a response. I can hear them in the hallway carrying on, laughing and giggling even after I called for help. The last time I was here I left great reviews. Not this time! 2 stars because the food is decent. Oh and the kitchen staff was great!
My mother was sent here on Thanksgiving with the suspicion of stroke. They ruled out stroke but found a massive UTI. They sent her home 2 Days Later no antibiotic regiment to follow ended up back in the hospital with a massive headache that she had suffered over a week. And the same UTI symptoms where her urine look like coffee with creamer in it. She ended up and complete septic shock and thrown into the micu where she had to go into a procedure that was supposed to be a nephrostomy tube. Ended up putting bigger stents in her kidneys after starving her for 22 hours for not being bumped due to an emergent case but Urology and Radiology just having a talk about whether they should do the nephrostomy tube or the stents. They tried to discharge her and said they would schedule everything else outpatient. I appealed the discharge in won. They just signed her off again saying then she does not need a nephrostomy tube. Then after a week of them doing nothing for her and telling me that her kidneys are ballooned out due to kidney stones they found. They had a meeting with me and said they didn't have the tools and the person who could talk about the kidney stones or the nephrostomy tube is on vacation and due to the holidays they were not equipped to deal with her needs and we're not facilitated transfer to another facility then proceeded to discharge her again. If you value your loved ones do not send them here this network is not trustworthy they're communication and collaboration skills are substandard and that seems to be their par.
My brother is in this hospital NOW and it is breaking my heart to watch him waste away because of lack of care. He has seen an intern but I fully licensed physician is following his case. There is a physician LISTED as his attending doctor but that person is not physically seeing him, only nurses. A tube was placed in his stomach through his nose stopping him from eating or drinking. It was designed to drain his stomach. It did that and once everything was drained out no one at the hospital seems to be able to find a doctor so that the tube can be removed. Meanwhile he has had no food or the medication that he has been taking for twenty years. He is going through withdrawal and I can't get any help from the nurses. This place should be closed down and the owner should go to JAIL!
This hospital and all inside have been the best most trusted people when it comes to health and my family. The ER staff super friendly and kind they do the absolute best! Esp with my fears of ER in general. The oral surgeon has saved me countless times. I recommend going into the city just for the ER and im 2 mins from Forbes. Ive had week long stays and the nurses were wonderful to me! Thank you AGH!
Today was our second visit to the Wound Care Clinic. Staff were exceptional. Caring, attentive, supportive and compassionate. We are so grateful for their ministrations.
If you are in life or death condition, Don’t even think about this hospital. I took my friend to emergency ward as he was about get anxiety attack. But, doctors in emergency ward were too lethargic. a couple of times doctors came and didn’t give any medication for hours.
I drive a medical transport van and the parking allocated for medical vans and ambulances is taken up by little compact cars. Say something about it to valet and they don't care. The spots are clearly marked and say tow away at owners expense. How about we start towing and keep these spots open for what they are for. Just a suggestion. Update 9/27/22 was there the valets now park cars in the ambulance and medical transportation spots. Which is horrible because the are also doing construction in that area which takes away 4-6 spots already. Park them where they should be parked and if that's full park them farther.
