"Annapolis Cat Hospital is a multi-doctor practice collocated with Bay Ridge Animal Hospital and is here to treat the cats of Annapolis, MD, and surrounding areas 6 days a week. We are a Fear-Free Certified hospital and we have our American Animal Hospital Association accreditation. Our services include wellness care, sick appointments, microchipping, travel and health certificates, diagnostic care including an in-house laboratory, x-ray, and ultrasound, surgical care, pet dentals, laser therapy, cat-only boarding, and more! I like the vets here. They are caring and attentive. They get you in really fast when there is something wrong. When I first started here my dog had a hot spot on his face that was bleeding a lot. Even though he was a new patient- they got him in to get checked out that same day. I only gave 4/5 stars because they recently increased their prices quite a lot. It was more than double. It's still probably on par with other Annapolis vets. Before they were just the most affordable in town.
Wonderful experience under stressful conditions. I had an emergency situation, and from the front desk to the techs to the Docs - everyone was fantastic!
Disappointing experience tonight. We have been long time patients of here atleast 6+ years for both of our cats. Usually we have excellent visits here but have noticed the quality of care slipping. Our last visit was less than stellar but I chalked that up to being short staffed and the doctor running behind on a Saturday, I get it no biggie. Tonight I placed a call asking if there were any open appointments the next day, the woman who answered basically scoffed at me and said no we are completely booked, which I get because it was last minute. I then asked about even for emergency visits We had a situation before where my one cat actually hurt his back and they fit us in same day due to injury, she then replied no we are full call back tomorrow morning and we might be able to see you. She never asked me what was going on with my cat, never bothered to see if it was something that could wait until the next day, and never even asked me for my pets name or my name to pull up my account, she basically wrote me off and hung up the phone. I was so taken back from this experience and started calling other vets in my area that I have no history with, frantically calling to see if they had any openings for an injured cat. A person from a different practice, who knew I would be a new patient on a Saturday because they actually asked, asked me what was going on and then recommended me to seek out an emergency vet. Then also said if I was unable to be seen there they would have fit me in the next day a practice that I didn’t even have any history with!. I understand that practices are struggling to keep up with the demands of society but some compassion would go a long way. We will be seeking out new care for our cats which is a shame.
Drs. Longo, Wozniak & Ngwira and all the staff are terrific! I've brought 2 cats & 2 dogs there since 1993 for routine care, life threatening emergencies and chronic conditions. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
Our vet had a family emergency, so we took our cat to the Annapolis Cat Hospital based on online reviews. Everyone there was amazing, from the ladies at the front desk, to the vet tech, to the vet. We got the bad news that our cat was riddled with masses and didn't have much longer. The way the vet handled everything was beyond professional. It was clear they cared about our cat and the pain we were in. They gave us meds to keep her comfortable the next day and we brought her back yesterday to be put to sleep. The same vet saw us, and I have never had a more compassionate vet during this procedure than the one we had at the cat hospital. I also have never had a vet who used a towel to hide the injections taking place, which I found very appreciative. We did not have to worry about anything except our baby, and I am really grateful for the care we were given. We will definitely be back with our other kitties.
Our cats have been patients here for 17 years! Dr. Longo is wonderful and so easy to talk to. She gives straightforward advice in a heartfelt manner. She and the staff are wonderful with our cats, very kind and nurturing. We also board our older cats there when we go away because we know they'll be in good hands.
My first visit to this facility was bringing my 21 year old cat for a sick visit. They got me in very quickly and explained everything that was going on with her to me. I was so impressed by the compassion, understanding, and knowledge of both the vet and the staff. Everyone was so helpful and thoughtful, including the gentlemen at the front desk. I also feel the cost for services was very fair. I will recommend this office and will be back! Thank you!
I have been taking my cats to Dr. Longo since she took over the Annapolis Cat Hospital. She is wonderful with animals, and I have confidence when I bring my cat in, she will receive the best possible care. Dr. Longo is well connected with specialists in case the need arises. Her care of Sophie for some teeth surgery lead to a speedy recovery. Great staff and great Cat Hospital!
