Since 1973, we have continually expanded and modernized our facility to reflect our dedication to providing the highest quality veterinary care. Satisfied client for decades. GAVH has been there when I needed them. Most recently, when I was concerned about my limping cat, I was able to call first thing in the morning and get an appointment. I was impressed by the level of professionalism of all staff members, especially the vet and tech, who treated the cat as if he were their own. Highly recommended.
In the short time that we have been with GAVH since we moved to Annapolis nearly 2 years ago, we have been through a lot together. From routine annual vaccines to neutering our shepherd to taking our chow in just for nail trims ... GAVH staff are excellent carers and professionals. They are also much more than that and I just want to share two stories: 1 When Kato was neutered and craved extra attention they made a makeshift home for him in the middle of their tech area out of a playpen and towels so he couldn't see out and become agitated and gave him extra love - as a COVID dog it was his first and only time away from home, but they made him extra comfortable so he could heal well. 2 When our cat Gus passed away suddenly this summer, they were so gracious and gentle with us and even sent a condolence card and several employees have expressed condolences since. These mean a lot to me and I love GAVH and recommend to everyone.
We've been going here for almost 4 months and we like the vets. Other than the fact that they give us a different vet every time. But the technicians are atrocious, unmannerly, and just rude. They act like ringing you up is the most terrible thing and schedling a next appointment is like pulling teeth. I'm scared to think how they treat the dogs the moment they go behind the door and we can't see them, because it's not great when we CAN see them already. I have a sd in training and multiple times they have been "oh so not a real service dog". There is one good tech and the rest I've seen are just, no.
I am sad that after 10 years I will be leaving the practice. When I had to have my beloved Duke put down December of 2020, GAVH was unavailable to help me and sent me else where.. that upset me but I continued to bring my other dog back. Today I called for an appointment for my puppy who is have a skin issue that has me concerned.. I was told next appointment was October 5th that is almost a month away.. i am not sure what changed at the practice, but they seem less caring then ever. Thank you for caring for Storm, Duke, Copper and Cookie over the years and I hope you make changes to your office to improve patient care.
Like many others, this vet hospital continues to be among my favorites. My 2 cats are regulars of Dr. Keegan who is absolutely delightful but they have also seen Dr. Woodburn and Dr. Manyin. They keep slots each day for emergencies, which I have had to use twice. They are accommodating, polite, knowledgeable, and respectful. They don't over prescribe, they convey information to you that is easy to digest, and they consistently take those one or two extra steps that just make you smile and feel like your are part of their family. I drive 40 minutes one way just to visit this hospital and so long as I'm in the area, they will continue to get my business. Keep up the great work, GAVH!!
We have been using Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital for all of our animals since we moved from Richmond, VA to Annapolis in 1994. Their doctors and staff are fantastic, and we recommend them highly. You can't go wrong with GAVH!
We brought our dog jellybean in to be put to sleep. The staff was so kind and caring. The vet explained what was going to happen from beginning to end. My family and I are truly grateful for the compassion shown to us and Jellybean at this difficult time. Thank you, Tonya Nick
If I could fill in more stars I would. This group has cared for all my pets through the years and I contribute their longevity to the careful, professional, and knowledgeable experience of the Vets on their staff. These guys are the best!
I am Looking for A Veterinarian in the area. I Called Greater Annapolis Veterinary Today And Let Me Just Say I Was in Disbelief at How The Receptionist Handled The Call.!! I Felt the Call Was An Annoyance to Her. I felt She Was Rude, Short And Inappropriately Sarcastic When She Said and I Quote “I Don’t Know, Umm Try Google or Something.” And Hung Up On Me ! The Receptionist contradicted what they have posted on their own web site. She Did Not Come Off Compassionate or Caring At All ! Apparently They Are Not Accepting New Pets. That’s Ok, but they Are In The Business of Caring for Animals and their well being or So Their Web Site Says! a Veterinarian Is A Doctor ! A Doctor Takes An Oath to Behave a Certain Way! I understand people are busy and maybe short staffed. Then let the person calling leave a voice mail and you return the call when you Actually Care! *Thank you for that Because I then Was Able To Find A Better Establishment to Take My Business Elsewhere.!! I wouldn’t Trust That They would Treat Your Pets Any better either ! Glad to Not Be Taking My Pet Here. So Sorry You Don’t care Enough To have Someone Who Cares Answering your phones..
