Arroyo Seco Recreation Area is located approximately 20 miles west of Greenfield, CA off of Highway 101 in Monterey County. The main attractions in the area are the Arroyo Seco River which runs past the campground, Abbott Lakes and Ventna Wilderness. Abbott Lakes is popular for fishing with largemouth bass and blue gill. Arroyo Seco Family Campground offers 47 sites, 33 are modern and 14 are primitive. The modern sites offer picnic table, fire ring and a pedestal grill, flush toilets and showers. Reservations are recommended at: www.recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777. Primitive campsites are all first come first serve. Day Use area provides BBQ's, picnic tables and fire rings.
