After a family member spent about seven weeks, mostly in ICU, no matter what, it’s impossible for me to not give this facility. The ICU doctors and staff, especially Dr Kramer and the nurses, and other staff, took amazing care of the patient and their family. Now the short time spent on other non ICU floors, I can’t say too many good things about them. But the ICU staff from early June till late July 2023 was better than amazing. I thank you all. God bless.
I will never stay at this hospital again. Sum of the nurses barely ever came in the room to check on me. I had a severe leg infection and one of them wouldn't change the wrap/dressing on my leg ALL DAY until I asked! I was told I could leave multiple times and they'd change their mind and give me more medicine. I normally have high blood pressure and take medication for it but they kept injecting more and more blood pressure medicine directly into my blood stream thru the IV. I got so much of it that it made me sick. I kept throwing up stomach acid and medicine they gave me waayyy too much and became toxic. I begged for them to discharge me and let me go otherwise I was gonna leave myself. My room was extremely small to where my door didn't even close unless we moved the bed out of the way. The hospital rooms r very old and out dated. There was no curtain for my privacy. You can't control the temperature in the room either. I was so hot I had to have a family member bring me a fan from home. I only went to this location cuz this is where urgent care sent me to. I will not be returning to this location. All patients deserve to be treated fairly and equally. The emergency room was great, but upstairs after being admitted was terrible.
Had my boyfriend cleaned, x-rayed, stitched and pain under control in less than 2 hours, and on a Friday! Amazing staff with great team work! Way to go ER crew!!
upon check in... The doctor told me. "This is not a hotel!" All I wanted to do was try to get treatment for both alcohol and depression. After I finally convinced him.. I was admitted upstairs where another doctor wouldn't even give me the medicine I was accustomed to . And at one point they gave me meds In which I was not told WHAT they were even for. I felt like just another number and not a person.
The faculty, nurses and doctors actually care I didn't feel like a number like cattle walking in and out really clean, kind , loving place I highly recommend this hospital
I had a great experiecne on 08/08/2023 even tho it was a surgery I went in for everyone made me feel very comfortable and the staff was amazing.
Sunday found me in at ER with a spouse experiencing stomach issues. We found a comfortable area to wait for our turn as it seemed to be a very busy afternoon. While waiting is never easy for humans, we were grateful for professional, attentive staff throughout the process. Once able to be moved to a room and assessed the level of care and attention was in my opinion stellar. Nurse Lily was the BEST, she made sure he was comfortable and addressed any questions or concerns. Carefully explained what the procedures would be and tended to his every request with a great cheery smile. Our PA Lauren came to explain the need for the CT scan and bloodwork necessary. Explained the results carefully on the inflammation in the colon and diagnosis of diverticulitis. Dr. Goldberg came as well after to review the CT, answer any concerns and give direction on prescriptions, diet and follow up. The hard working staff from check in, transporters, phlebotomist and more were caring, mannerly and their compassion for the patient were evident. KUDOS to the entire team.
Worst place to go if you need therapy, Lori behind a desk in behavior health has no clue how the system works and she recommend instead of asking for a therapist you just call the records department, she doesn't know a therapist office exists at South 27th street. Saint Luke's, talk about a department that is so lost with Behavior Health at South shore.
all staff,doctors,nurses are so kind,humble and make me always feel comfortable...love this hospital
Recently had a procedure done there on 9/21 with a positive outcome and friendly atmosphere! Very fast and efficient.
