This is a clothing store with no clothes! There are a total of two racks of men’s clothes with a few upscale pieces and nothing useful or practical. Don’t waste your time here. Mystifying business model from BR.
They have like, 3 different shirts, 2 different pants, and 2 sizes between them only a slight exaggeration. Most of the store is an experimental home goods setup and a bed takes up literally a third of the men’s section which…fine, but I’m not looking for a Pottery Barn. Go to the store in Bellevue Square for an actual clothing selection.
The service there was very poor. I don't need my hand held while I'm shopping, but they didn't acknowledge us at all when we walked in and were the only shoppers. The whole time my partner and I were looking at clothes we weren't offered assistance. I had to go up to them to ask for a different size, which they didn't have, then followed with seeking out a person to try something on, and lastly I had to ask to check out. Upon asking to check out, who I believe was the manager, told me to give him a minute and then asked a staff member to deal with me. On top of this, their inventory was the most limited i've ever seen in a store.
Hoping to shop for their clothes? Don't bother stopping here: this is now a 'concept store' and has a very small selection of clothes and is mostly empty space. Used to enjoy browsing here so wanted to let others know! Apparently the Bellevue store is the closest if you want to shop this well-known clothing brand for their clothing selection.
This new format is super confusing. The homeware goods take up too much of the sales floor, and the items displayed are not very compelling. They appear to offer a larger foot ware collection than most stores, but if you are looking for a traditional store that sells clothes, the location in Bellevue is better.
I rarely get to look at clothes in person as I live at least 1 1/2 hours away from the store. A young saleswoman spoke to me at least 4 different times when I was there; and by the 3rd interaction I thought ‘she wants me to leave’ . I am not sure what this was about. It was disheartening. I have been shopping at Banana Republic on and off for 20 years. I may order online but won’t return to this store.
Wife went in and no one greeted her when she walked in the store but people before her and after her were greeted and were informed of items on sale. I hope race is not the reason why no one spoke to her. University Village location in Seattle.
First time I've been in the store. The associate was very nice; she went to the back to see if they had the linen shirt I was looking for they did!. I will say, that with all the open floor space I wish they'd put a few more clothes in there the double xl's & talls so I wouldn't have to get them on line. I get why they do it but....
I wish they had more clothes. Now it's mostly just ugly furniture and bedding and a giant TV. Really uncomfortable and impersonal. Colonialism chic. Not on-trend in 2023.
Trying desperately to get off the catalogue mailing list but they don’t make it easy! 3 chats and one phone call.
