Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center

I have been to MD Anderson four or five times over the last few years. Mostly for imaging, and now today for labwork. Every single time I'm here I am amazed at how beautiful the place is. And how incredibly sweet, thoughtful and helpful every single employee you encounter here is. From the three sweet beautiful young ladies that work the front registry counter that you first encounter when you enter, to every technician you interact with. They are just amazing people. And the complex itself and it is just stunning. It is like entering an art museum. Absolutely beautiful.

I am in the midst of trying to get my 20 year old son an appointment to start treatment for his Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer. Dianna just took my call to look into when I will get a call to get the appointment scheduled. She was very thorough in trying to figure out if the nurse has reviewed it or in the midst of reviewing the referral. She was very kind and understanding, as well as compassionate towards our situation. And took the time to understand my question. She answered my question very professionally. This goes to show that from the star, they truly care about their patients. Thank you, Dianna. You are truly an asset to their team!

this is the best medical care i have had in my life. they are my heroes and I know there is a special place in heaven for each and every person at MD Anderson. their compassion is evident in everything they do. each person i came in contact with had a smile and a kind word. the knowledge and professionalism goes beyond my words. all i can say is MD Anderson and the entire staff there have made it possible for me to dance at my granddaughter's wedding, and for this, i and my family, will be eternally grateful. each of you has a crown waiting for you in heaven and are in my prayers daily.

This center is a blessing! They are organized, and clean, with beautiful surroundings, especially the river views. The customer service is awesome, always with a welcomed smile! Being around other people who are going through the same things you are going through makes you not feel so alone. Before I joined this center I was with another Oncology practice that made my life a living hell. It's very important when going through such a horrible experience to minimize your stress. This is what MD Anderson has done for me. They have minimized my stress level due to their professionalism and knowledge. I would recommend them to anyone. Kudos to the staff!! Dr. Cathryn Johnson and her team were exceptional! I was understandably anxious but both the doctor and nursing staff took the time to explain everything and answered all my questions. My surgery went very well, and they followed up on my care and explained that they will continue to monitor my progress. It was the most positive experience I've ever had with healthcare. MD Anderson is a great place to seek treatment for cancer and I highly recommend it.

Excellent facility. Outstanding customer service. Dr Anderson is kind, caring, professional, has excellent bedside manners, and focus on patient centered care. She explained things in a way that was easy to understand. She provided me options to my plan of care. Dr Anderson was compassionate but also seeks to find the best treatment plan. All of the customer service and reception staff at the front desk always greeting me with smiles and addressing me by name before I even approach them. RN Alexis provided excellent support by phone and portal. Alexis listened to all my concerns and always gave detailed reports to Dr Anderson. I was truly impressed by the teamwork and genuine care.

Excellent people, they took their time, explained everything, listened to me and what I wanted, discussed it with me and cared about my thoughts and concerns. Wonderful Dr Nowaki and great nurse Debra and Phyllis checked me out and she was amazing. First class people top rated service. Thank you everyone. You helped me feel safe and cared for.

My experience at MD Anderson was very good all things considered. The team is highly experienced which left me with a strong sense of confidence in their abilities. A lot of time was spend educating me on my options, approaches, and what to expect going forward. They left plenty of time for me to ask questions in an unrushed environment taking time to ensure I fully understood. I really liked the team approach with key people being in the room to provide valuable information and feedback. At the end of each step a team member hands you off personally to the next, this leaves you with a good feeling. I am well cared for and in very good hands at MD Anderson - Jacksonville. If you need their services, I highly recommend this team.

Quick and easy to check in. Staff quickly found all my tests and directed me to the comfortable waiting area. Once inside, sample collection was fast and painless, no bruise the next day. Phlebotomist was gentle and kind. Results started coming the next day and available on the MyChart app.

The doctors here are amazing but the billing department is awful. I overpaid a deductible and have been trying to get the money back for months. They say as long as there is a pending insurance claim which will go on for many months they will not issue a refund despite the fact I have met my entire deductible and out of pocket for the year. If I owed them money they would have sent me to collections already, but they seem to be able to hold my money hostage with no repercussions. My only advice is NEVER pay anything up front until your insurance company processes the claim.
