The all-volunteer Women’s Board produces two major benefits – the Art & Antiques Show and the Florida Forum speaker series, which together now bring an annual profit of more than one million dollars to advance services and facilities at Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
The Florida Forum annually brings world leaders, entertainers or experts to speak to Jacksonville citizens. Among the distinguished speakers, the Florida Forum has hosted President and Mrs. George H. W. Bush, Bill Cosby, Tom Brokaw, Rudy Giuliani, Senator John Glenn, Dr. Henry Kissinger, Queen Noor of Jordan, Secretary of State Colin Powell, General Norman Schwarzkopf, Lady Margaret Thatcher, Tom Clancy and the late Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
The annual Art & Antiques Show features over fifty exhibitors from across the country who bring museum-quality art and antiques for purchase by Show patrons. Beginning with the benefactor Preview Reception and Opening Night Party, the three-day show also presents famed lecturers and stellar exhibits, and the event heralds Jacksonville’s winter social season.
