The hike is ok. It’s a little confusing because you have to enter from a golf course. The biggest complaint I have has to do with the ticks. 4 of us went out there and we were literally covered in small ticks. Every 5 minutes we would look down and see about 20 walking around on our shoes. Just make sure you check after your walk because 1 of us had about 10 on him when we got home.
The beach is lovely but for a sunset in the winter it is not the correct location. The one lane road in is unpaved and a little bumpy. There is plenty of parking for such a remote location. I walked West in an attempt to see the sunset and the beach is mostly rocks where the cliff is eroded.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entryFree
Our friends just shared this beautiful little secret spot with us!! We’ve lived out here for decades and explored the many beaches and parks but never heard of this lovely little hidden gem!! There’s a long road through the woods that leads down to the shore, with a small area for parking.. Totally private and low key, we absolutely loved this beach as an alternative to the typically crowded Hampton’s beaches.. We spent the entire day uninterrupted, swimming and collecting shells and rocks.. We’ll try to keep this place a secret , but we’ll definitely be going back regularly!!
Cycled there from Springs. Didn't find the entrance easily. Lots of blood sucking mosquitos so be prepared to leave with many bites.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Beautiful nature preserve, great trails, scenic beaches
Very magical place to visit, just be carful of the green-head horse fly, I think it’s seasonal but they fly in groups
Lovely views but the bugs make this misery. I’ve hiked quite a bit and am familiar with the usual but I couldn’t believe the flies and mosquitos and other airborne critters that plague this route. I imagine it’s better in cooler months but I would never come back here and would actively try to stop people from walking here— it’s that bad.
If you are looking for a beach which is Quiet and clean with lovely rocks and shells: take a picnic basket and spend several hours here: the water is shallow and warm near the beach edge
Really lovely memorial. Her mother recently passed away but she came here every year after September 11.
