Lulu Kitchen & Bar is a year-round convivial bistro featuring woodburning cuisine. The menu and open kitchen is centered around a woodburning grill and oven. The 1,800 square foot space offers casual lounge-like dining in the front with a view of the bustling main street through its French doors. Comfy leather chairs and baquettes with wood tables offer various seating options while a large zinc topped bar anchors the front section with ceiling high open lighted shelving for the spirits selection. The centerpiece of the restaurant is the open kitchen anchored by the woodburning grill & oven, from which the majority of the menu is executed. An open garde manger station displays fresh vegetables atop an attractive marble counter offering a view of the preparations of the cold items on the menu as well as a homemade bread station. The rear of the space offers table clothed dining with rustic chandeliers, exposed brick walls, vintage European mirrors, and leather chairs. A back deck features outdoor dining under an awning with chic but casual patio seating and potted plants for ambiance. The kitchen is under the direction of Phillippe Corbet, a French-trained chef with several years of experience in Michelin-star rated restaurants as well as top tables throughout Long Island. The woodburning cuisine is the brainchild of Corbet, fulfilling a lifelong culinary dream to execute an entire menu from the flavor producing unique cooking style. Offering dinner and a late night menu, Lulu Kitchen & Bar offers a menu focused on local products.
