Story time was great, librarian was so nice and kind. My concern was with our safety. A short strong African American woman with a little boy was constantly angrily staring at me and my daughter and even placed herself behind my back at a really close distance. That and the fact that two old ladies with their granddaughter were trying to touch my daughters head and following us outside make me not want to return.
This is SUPER MISLEADING. I thought i was going to the library {{that was open till 8pm!!!}}!!!!!!! Yeah, i wound up at a park!!!!! i didn't even see those library book house things that are in the pics that i am seeing NOW!! BTW, I think those "book house things" are super cool and all BUT THIS IS SO MISLEADING!! PLEASE RE-LABEL THIS!!! I NEEDED TO GO TO THE ACTUAL LIBRARY, SO I WASTED GAS AND LOTS OF TIME THAT I DIDN'T HAVE!!!!! SO NOT COOL TO LABEL THIS AS A LIBRARY!
Interesting book selection, and very easy to use. In a completely public location at the entrance to a public park. Im grateful for the opportunity to have these in Greensboro, because there can be books in here that you wouldn't always find in a standard library!
A great place to study or do some reading. The staff was very helpful.
I haven't used a public library in decades. My 88 year old father has been reading e books and using audio books through the pandemic. I visited today and got a library card. The librarian was very nice and helpful. I will definitely take advantage of library services in the future
I was unable to to do what I need to achieve to get some items printed out and the Liberian helped me out until the final step and she was wonderful.
This is a great place to come and enjoy the quietness of the library. Also, it is a great place to get information! I've got jobs off of internet here before in years gone by!
I attend mostly as a member of what is known as the workshop collective that goes by the name of the "Benjamin Bards." We have been in existence for approximately 3 years and have primarily started out with in person meetings. But due to the pandemic, we had to go to entirely Zoom format. Now, we're back to a hybrid meetings style. The contract person is the librarian Associate Ms. Kelsey Nation. We meet the 3rd Thursday at 7-8:30PM over the years we have had a wide variety of topics. The last one was on a very interesting form called Cherita. The next is going to be on a style known as the Tanka. So, everyone is welcome just let Kelsey know whether you want to attend virtually or in person! If you want to visit the library, we have an exhibit posted there right now of a style of poetry we have written by our members called "Ars Poetica" which is very interesting! It's when you write poetry about the art of writing poetry! We would just love to turn you into the NEXT group of Bards with us!
Great neighborhood library. The staff are nice and helpful. There may be times the book selection is small but they will order any book from another library, and have it sent there. It saves me time running to other libraries and you can even do it online. A good selection of movies and music as well.
This is a nice clean library with a helpful staff. We are lucky to have it there at the end of Oakcrest Ave.
