Great library with huge selection. There are lots of resources for students, kids, or anyone who wants internet, books, or information.
Large library downtown. There's a parking deck right next to it. The children's museum is across the street. Behind the library are two parks, La Bauer park and the downtown city park. Inside is quiet and there's a large enough selection. Fiction is on the main floor and upstairs is non-fiction.
This is a nice library. Modern decor, well maintained and very spacious. Librarian staff have always been very helpful & I have been pleasantly surprised with the access that it provides to classic pieces, a s well as modern and recent titles. The parking deck offers one hour of free parking during the week and is free on weekends. Enjoy!
Some say a city is only as good as its public library system. If so, then Greensboro, NC is a pretty good place.
Nice and quiet. Lots of video and audibook variety. Clean and nice open space; tables for study, computer for public use. Enjoy. peace
This is my go to place for friendly librarians who can help me with my technical questions when I'm working with documents as well as when I'm struggling to send things via scanning and copy services! I'm also pretty fond of actually reading old fashioned books! Hahaha you know like in the old days before people had Kindles and access to THAT new fangled thing called this here internet! Y'all come on down..they have plenty of branches everywhere around the city! I'm sure there's one close to where you live! No matter what your age, everybody can benefit from a library card! I'm sure glad my first grade teacher taught me how to read!
I brought my son and niece here to read to them let them explore and was insulted by them saying my kids were too loud and we had to leave she also would not allow us to use the computer even though I’m a resident of Greensboro very discussed with how I was treated in the children section and I will never return again first and last experience ever.keep in mind my children are 2 YEARS OLD
Curious the state of mind of the individual who said yes to their new system. Several years new yet searching for books online is like searching for a needle in the hay stack!?
Busy location. Day time shift handle it well for the volume they serve.
Love being able to read print editions of NY Times and other papers. Unfortunately a group of three homeless arrived, sat nearby, and talked loudly. A fourth apparently homeless man arrived, sat ten feet away, put his phone on speaker, and talked with a loud woman for half an hour. Apparently library staff are fine with this.
