I was faced with the death of my loved one approaching in a few days and had to make funeral arrangements rather quickly. I was very disheartened after visiting 3 area funeral homes and not feeling comfortable with them for various reasons. I stopped in to Black Hills Funeral Home while driving past and immediately felt comfortable and positive about this funeral home. After meeting Linda and Brandi I was confident that my loved one's funeral would be handled professionally and just as we had discussed. Brandi's knowledge and guidance were exactly what I needed at such an overwhelming time. Brandi handled the VA, the National Cemetery, and all of the paperwork and details that go in to funerals. My loved ones funeral was everything I'd hoped it would be, a beautiful tribute to a wonderful person. Brandi was the professional that made this happen as planned. I highly recommend Black Hills Funeral Home with Brandi as the Director.
Brandi is so knowledgeable about the VA process. I signed a few forms and she did the rest. I chose direct cremation and was never once pushed towards anything but the basics which was just what I wanted. I highly recommend Black Hills Funeral home for anyone who loses a veteran.
Our family has used the cremation services of Black Hills Funeral Home twice in the last 2 years. They are SO compassionate in the interactions, timely and efficient in the services, making the difficult time as easy as possible.
They are very good people and helped me with the process of taking care of my husband’s remains from beginning to end . so very informative and helpful on the VA paper work . They took great care with his remains made my hardest day’s so I could breathe . thank you so very much Vickie Kelly

Thank you so much for helping me bury my father who was traveling and unexpectedly passed. I could not afford this emotionally or financially. However, Brandi was able to have him buried with honours and provided me with pictures of his resting place, completed all VA paperwork, and even shopped for clothes I wanted him to wear. Ofcouse, I reimbursed this, as his clothes would not arrive on time, but she was in constant contact with me. She sent his personal items to me as well. She went beyond expectations and turned my grief into relief. She got the head stone sorted and reimbursement of expenses completed; I could not do this without her. Their resources to help, come from a place of love and compassion, including members of veterns she knows to provide assistance. I could not be there, however, I am so grateful and feel as though they are doing God's work. I have no doubt, he was cared for with these angels in human form. They are always a phone call or text away to help during the most difficult experience I have ever had to face. God bless Brandi and Elizabeth at Black Hills Funeral Home. Go to Black Hill's directly, if the unexpected happens and a proud member of the military passes. In my experience, I feel tranquility now of my loved one passing, not fear or confusion, as they took this from my shoulders for a simply minimal amount. They were so nice and supportive of what I wanted and what I didn't want. They were so easy to speak to and understanding. I left feeling like I knew everything would be taken care of and I didn't need to worry. That is exactly what happened. I just took care of my needs and they took care of my husband just as we had discussed. I appreciate them and I am grateful that I chose them to help me.
Brandi, Mariah, Linda were all so helpful manuevering the death, cremation and memorial service for my husband. They are very respectful, professional, caring. They walked me through all aspects of what needed to be done and helped me each step of the way. I am eternally thankful for them
Staff were helpful, and able to help guide me through the process of funerary arrangements after the recent loss of a family member. It hurts to have lost my grandfather, but being able to ensure he is treated well after death helps somewhat.
As difficult as the moment inevitably is, as prepared as you think you are, the odds are tremendous that you aren’t and need real support… not just a funeral home! The professionalism was outstanding!
