Honestly, we took a wrong exit on the freeway and just happened to stumble upon this and boy were we all glad we did! What an amazing place! Its so beautiful and humbling to experience. Everyone should stop by and pay your respects when in the area.
This is a stunning landscape for honoring this nation's deceased veterans. It is the final resting place for many vets and this cemetery recognizes their service to the United States.
BEAUTIFUL final resting place and very well taken care as well for those who served this Country. I know because I have 5 FAMILY members and several friends that are at rest now and a few more family members that will be laid to rest there in the next couple of years. Blessing, love and honor to all those who have served this country without question. Thank You! Since the time I wrote this, we have laid my father in law to rest as well. Four family members are now at rest in this beautiful place for our vets and spouses. Sadly! My mother has passed and she will be laid to rest with my father, SFC Harvey Varns. The National Cemetery makes the final preparations so comforting and easy. What a Blessing all those who work to help with the final preparations at the National Cemetery truly are!
Beautiful national cemetery! The hours on Google are for the administration office. The gates are open every day from sunrise to sunset.

My father died suddenly at the age of 61. We were all shocked and didn't know what to do. He always said he wanted to be buried in Sturgis to rest with other Veterans and because it was close to home, Sheridan, Wyoming and Miller South Dakota. Not knowing how to even go about doing all this, the employees were very helpful so that we could honor his wishes. We were able to set everything up with ease, and they even remembered me the next time I came back to visit him. That in itself was very heart warming that they remembered me even after all the veterans that they laid to rest after my dad. The view from is plot is AMAZING and I could not ask for a better place for him to rest. Thank you so much and I will visit as often as I can
This is a stunning area and local landscape for honoring this nation's deceased veterans. It is the final resting place for many vets, and it is a place that equalizes everybody who served, from private to general officer, and recognizes their service to the United States. Bravo.
