Charleston Rotary Pool

We love going to Charleston for the rotary community aquatic center. Kids love the pool features and the water is always so refreshing. Staff is very nice and helpful.

Family loves quick trips to the pool. They can get busy at times but the little one usually has a great time.

Their hours are wrong -- this place closed for the season weeks ago already and they're still listed as open as of September 1st. We went here and a woman working in the office explained that their hours as listed on Google and the City of Charleston's official website haven't been correct in over eight or nine years. We had to leave despite the music being on, the pool being full, and the water filters clearly running in the pumphouse. Why waste electricity and chemicals on that for weeks after the facility closed?

Pool and bathrooms were clean. Not overcrowded. Friendly staff. I was a bit surprised that it costs $6.00 for an adult, but also understand they need to recoup some of their financial losses from being closed last year.

Life Guards are well trained, 3 separate pools with gates around them. Baby pool has a zero depth side so a wheel chair can roll into it. Lots of water toys for little ones to play with. Not very deep so perfect for little ones. One pool has a water slide and diving boards. Main pool has dedicated 6 lane lap swim and on the other end of the pool has regular swimming. Deck has a lot of huge umbrellas for shade and there are a lot of chairs and loungers. They do there best to keep it a family friendly environment, swearing is not allowed.
