The meal was delightful, and came very quickly. Even though they had a 40 minute wait m, they came in about 20 minutes . Only bad-ish thing was my egg was cold. My favorite thing was how they bring the food. Truly an amazing experience, 10/10 does recommended.Food: 4/5
This is the first restaurant review I have ever made, but the food was so terribly cooked, I felt compelled. Scrambled eggs that were 50% brown, dry and beyond over cooked, hashbrowns that left a pond of grease, and toast that wasn't toast at all, but slightly warm bread. They replaced the eggs with a plate slightly less overcooked. I understand they're under new ownership. I certainly won't be back.
We stopped in because we're looking for a place that serves breakfast. Oh my goodness. This place is wonderful! Large menu of delicious food. Generous portions, incredibly fast service, and so friendly! We had the large biscuits and gravy with me as well as pancakes and cam. Plus a piece of coconut pie. All for less than $25. Great comfort food at great prices with great friendly, fast service.
My assigned server left me waiting to order for about 10 minutes. Another server stepped in, took the order, and then brought my food. There was a question that the assigned server should get the tip. I disagreed and gave the tip to the one that actually served me. Where were all the servers that used to wait on us? They were mostly professional food service people who knew what they were doing. There seemed to be a downgrade on the breakfast food, too. They now charge 3.5% of your tab to use a credit card to pay. I won't pay that fee. So, I guess this will be my last review of a place I used to frequent pretty often. Good luck with the liquor license.
Not fooling me. I asked for biscuits and gravy. They served me toast with the gravy sauce on top of it. I asked for rye bread, I received wheat toast. My daughter asked for grilled chicken buffalo wrap. It had breading on it. The restaurant was not busy so if you could not give us what we wanted than tell us so we can get something else. The inside is cute. They also need a sign that says seat yourself.
Our family was traveling through the area and we we looking for a good place to get a brunch. We thoroughly enjoyed the local family atmosphere here. The place is obviously very well loked. We enjoyed a great breakfast. Our server was very congenialnand helpful. Stopping here encouraged us to look for more family run places like this as we travel.
At least the toast was edible. I got country fried steak. I think it may have been dog food pressed into a patty and deep fried in old, nasty grease. The hashbrowns were dried out and rubbery. And one of the eggs tasted rotten. I couldn't even eat them. I ate the toast, and while underdone, at least it had a good taste after I asked for some butter for it. But I sure hate paying $12 for toast and coffee. I would like to say that my waitress, Sophia, was excellent and very sweet. She deserves to be working in a restaurant that serves better food so that there are more people there and she would make more tips.
We have been coming to the west side Cloverleaf weekly for years and since the new owners took over we have come about 5 times and today was our last time. Although the food seems about the same in taste, it has come out cold or incorrectly made multiple times, it has taken about 15-20 minutes to get our drinks and we were there for an hour before getting our food three times now. Then you have to wait to get your check and then to get the check back....the point of a diner is to be a simple, warm meal served quickly. Very disappointing. Haven't had any issues at the east side restaurant.
Awesome hole in the wall. Service was amazing! I had the omelet, and my son had the chocolate chip pancakes. Both were good size and tasted heavenly. Definitely will be going back Food: 5/5
We placed an order for carry out for 2 Turkey chef salads. To our surprise the salads looked to be side salads leftover from another day with Turkey added! No eggs like they usually have and the portion was so small! When I called to complain, the lady who answered the phone was so rude! She said they were short staffed and it wasn’t her fault and there wasn’t a manager there. When I asked her name she said come in and we can refund your money”! I asked her name again and she said “come in and we can refund your money” and then hung up on me! So much for customer service. From now on we will go only to the Southside location. Lesson learned…
