I went to Dr. Mekbib for about two years and she did a great job taking care of my teeth. I had to have some fillings and the experience was the least discomfort I've had in a dental chair. She takes her time and I felt like she was very focused on my well being and concerns. Dr. Mekbib puts people over profits and I highly recommend her if you live in the area. There was not a dental hygienist at the practice when I went there.
My first impression of Dr. Mekbib's office was how clean and modern it was down to the chic lighting and peach wall colors : I went to Dr. Mekbib, having not gone to the dentist in a "little while," and not knowing what to expect. At the beginning of my visit, Dr. Mekbib was upfront and explained her policies, as well as how she would conduct her cleaning/exam. The cleaning was a breeze. However, I ended up coming back for a follow-up visit so that she could fix a rather complex cavity. Dr. Mekbib made it seem like a small ordeal. Good beside manner. Competent. And Gentle. Can't ask for much more in a dentist. I highly recommend.
When I look for a dentist, I'm looking for 1 someone who will not shame me in a condescending way for not flossing regularly; 2 someone who will not try to rip me off; and 3 someone who does a good job at cleaning my teeth. Dr. Mekbib is all of those things, and I would 100% recommend her. The location is also very convenient.
Dr. Mekbib is an excellent dentist, and her clinic is top-notch. The location is very convenient close to the Metro and many different bus lines and the service is impeccable. Dr. Mekbib is thorough and — most importantly — very gentle during cleanings. My wife and I will continue to return.
I've been going to Dr. Mekbib for 7 years. She is kind, personable and I can't believe I'm saying this, I kinda look forward to the dentist! I would recommend her.
If you want a Dentist who leaves large cotton pieces in your mouth routinely, takes personal phone calls while you sit there with your mouth jammed full of equipment, who almost poked my eye out when clumsily handling equipment. Even the ceiling has a hole in it. The neglect here speaks to the lack of professionalism. There was not even an attempt to correct the mistakes made in order to keep a good reputation.
