This is a great clinic, everyone is friendly and very supportive, good networking in the city with referrals, easy to get appointments, they take walk ins. I changed my pcp after moving to the area and have been well cared for. I doubt you’d have a bad experience going here.
Great Care! Very reliable with supplying my medications. I have had no supply issues with them. I ended up in the Hospital because I could not get my medicines from a previous Pharmacy. All most died. I do not have this problem anymore! Staff is knowledgeable and reliable. Improvement of my health is noticable!
Can’t possibly understand why this place doesn’t have 5 stars. Folks, this place is literally a blessing. I’ve never received care of such a high quality and wait times so short all my life that I don’t even know how to express my love for this place. Every single person that works there is competent and kind and the pharmacy always looks out for you regardless of whether a Cook doctor prescribed it or not. They truly, and I mean this, truly look out for your well-being as their first priority.
I was amazed at my visit today. In my nearly 20 years of using the clinic I never dreamed a doctor would be so indifferent. Only gave me a few seconds of his time, spent nearly all of that trying to sell me BP meds. He would not allow me to tell him a thing regarding my pain and inability to move, in fact he opened door, walked out while I was trying to talk to him. When your health provider treats you like that you’re left feeling vulnerable, and with no say in your own health.
This pharmacy consistently "doesn't have" prescriptions that have been verified sent from other offices, requiring multiple follow-up calls. It is beyond frustrating. If you are able to get things filled elsewhere, you should. If it was just once or twice I could understand, but it is literally every time. I don't know what kind of system they're using, but they obviously need a better one.
There has only been one review posted and I disagree with it completely. I'm not sure who the patient had seen, if it was a walk in or an appointment but every time I go into the clinic as a walk in or as an appointment, I've always had great service. It is not the clinics fault that the waiting room is small. There are masks as soon as you walk in the front door and a note that says "If you have a fever or a cough, please wear one of these masks" so again, this isn't the clinics fault. It is the person who doesn't have enough common courtesy to use a mask when they are readily available. I have a syndrome called POTS and Dr. Behney was the first person to send me to a neurologist and to a cardiologist to figure out what was causing me all my problems. He listened to my symptoms and explained to me that even though he wasn't quite sure what was causing them, he would get me with the specialists that would be able to help me. And as for the lady doctor who told you "she had different patients to see", I've never had that to me ever. Dr. Behney has actually made me wait while he went out of his way to get my medical records from a hospital visit and Dr. Shimm actually sat in a room with me and asked me all kinds of questions about what POTS was and even looked it up on his computer while talking to me and trying to give me advice as to how to help me. I'm not exactly sure when this review was written but I do know that the insurance policy has changed that you do NOT have to go into to get a referral to see a specialist also known as a dermatologist anymore. The Cook Clinic is a very great doctors office and all the doctors I've seen have taken the time to get to know me as a person and what my medical conditions are. I'm grateful for their doctors, nurses, front desk ladies, and Brian and all the others in the pharmacy that answer any questions I may have.
The Cook Family Health Center is ok...the waiting room is rather small, so all the none sick people get mixed in with the ones who are sick. I didn't like that at all! There were people coughing and hacking, sneezing, it was just unpleasant. I get that at doctors offices there will be sick people, but normally the waiting rooms are bigger and I wouldn't have to sit right next to a sick person The doctors are known for rushing people out of the office. I was actually so insulted by a woman doctor who told me "Do you have many more questions? I have other patients I need to get to" I almost never go to the doctor, maybe once every two years. It just floored me that a doctor would say that to a patient wanting to know questions about their health. Side Note: I think its silly that if you want to go to the dermatologist you have to get a referral every year. The fee is fifteen dollars per doctor visit, why can't you just go to the dermatologist and save the 15.00. It just burns me that a doctor walks into the room and says "ok", gives the referral and I have to pay 15.00 for the go ahead from him. Call me a cheap skate But that money adds up over time.
They employ a doctor here that won't address your issues and will just gaslight you even if what you have is a CONGENITAL DISEASE. Plenty of very caring and professional people, but people should know there is definitely a ROTTEN apple. "Schim" spelling is wrong and not even full name is a really nice doctor, but it almost isn't worth running into that jerk.
I have been going to the clinic for several years. They have grown and expanded to meet demand. The staff is professional and courteous. They go out of their way to be helpful even when they are busy. If I could rate 6 stars I would.
Everyone is so caring. From the checkin stuff to the doctors, nurses pharmacist and check out staff. I have had nothing but the greatest experience at the Cook clinic. They all show such a caring nature.
