Bless these group of people!!! Come on, it's not something we go through every day. This was my first time having to deal with death this way! I appreciate the efficiency and KINDNESS throughout the entire process. Highly recommend!!!
Yvonne and everyone at CSV were very helpful and patient. They were more than happy to re-explain the process. And made things right when there ended up being issues with the cemetery. We all learned something new that day. Thank you so much for your services. Would use them again and recommend them as well.
Zero stars was not an option. I do not recommend this option to anyone. I wish we had chosen a local funeral home instead. We had a truly disheartening, disappointing and disrespectful experience dealing with the Cremation Society of Charlottesville. Response time to questions or concerns was terrible, the time it took to complete the process was extended due to errors. A bulk of what we paid for was for the professional services of someone to complete said paperwork. To address errors made on paperwork -including sharing paperwork belonging to someone else- we were simply told “mistakes happen.” The insincerity of the apology we finally did receive spoke volumes. We were not notified when remains were ready to pick up- we had to call again to inquire. Upon receiving remains, we reached out with questions regarding things that we were told would be done but are missing, and to question charges for things that weren’t done. After 2 weeks, no one has taken the time to respond- even by email.
This has been an experience I will never forget. The people at this office were very patient with me, and I got upset several times. There were some bumps in the road, that we finally got taken care of. Now my husband can begin his journey home his ashes. I would encourage everyone to plan for this, it will make dealing with grief much better. Tha k you to everyone in the Charlottesville office.
Other than the lack of communication, we had a very good experience. We have made 8 pre-need arrangements for our family with this company.
I was recommended to this company and I was very respected and staff was professional. I was a confused person going at this alone when my father left me unexpectedly. They were very patient with me because I kept cancelling appointments. This was one of the hardest thing in my life I had to do.
Cremation Society of Virginia has been very professional and supportive of my needs upon the passing of my father. Also five years they assisted us with my sister’s cremation. Highly recommend Cremation Society of Virginia in Charlottesville to anyone.
Received a call back with in 24 hours and the young lady that started with me, completed the presentation and paperwork with me. No major issues and this service was right on time and gave me comfort knowing that I had a plan in place. Thankful, pleased and truly blessed.
They were extremely kind and helpful through this very confusing process. They did not push any extras on us, and had everything ready well ahead of the stated time frame. They were so easy to work with and we highly recommend them
