Fair Oaks Bluff Park/Preserve

Exceptional spot for view point. Not much of hiking.

This spot is a beautiful spot to watch the sunrise. Or sunset for that matter.

Sweet spot with a gorgeous view of the river and the scenery in the distance!

'21/2 1st time review, but handful trips over past 40 years: -- Lots of pedestrian/bike activity across the foot-bridge connecting Gold River to Fair Oaks an easy 1 mile/30 minute walk one way. -- Gorgeous, scenic views of wild life, river, kayakers, fishermen, and sunset. -- While there is self-pay parking inside the river parkway on the Gold River side south access bridge, and includes a non-motorized boat launch ramp, the paved multi-use, steep bike path is only way to the bridge. Another option a quarter mile further south is to park in the free shopping mall parking lot--not to mention a wonderful place to coffee/dine/dessert before/after the walk/bike. -- Limited yet free street parking on north/Fair Oaks side is a good quarter mile from the foot bridge in the business district. -- Great place to take an enjoyable walk or bike--from youngsters to adults. [Note: mobility impaired may find steep road access a bit daunting from the Fair Oaks north access, as well as the bumpy fake-wood 2x4 boards making up the bridge's walking surface.]

Nice bike trail. Has benches, trash cans, a boat landing, and a bathroom. If you get lucky you might even see a deer.
