What an awesome place! We took our 4 year old, and he had a great time, so did we! We spent about 3 hours there and didn't quite get to see everything. If you have an EBT card, you get in free with up to 3 people. There's something for everyone there. The antique car collection is really cool. They have plenty to see and do inside as well as outside. We'll definitely be going back to see what we missed last time. Great place!!
My son was lucky enough to go to Discovery Park with his class before school was out. Being 7 he was overwhelmed by all there is to see and didn’t really enjoy the whole park because of the whole elementary school being there. The last week of school before summer break he and I sat down and wrote down a bucket list of things to do this summer while he’s off. Number one on his list was to revisit the Discovery Park with his mom and dad. We chose a Tuesday that has cool weather and dry. And we were rewarded with the greatest weather to walk outdoors across the whole property exploring every inch of the property. His favorite place was the Children’s discovery garden where he made new friends and played for hours on the jungle gyms and zip lines. Once inside the discovery centers main building, he was able to have his hands on everything that he couldn’t before because there were not a dozen visitors on each level. The Native American display was so impressive, the classic and antique car collection was magnificent. The war section was very informative. The children are inspired every where in the main building. So much excitement in the voices of the children as well as grownups. They have two different food courts from which to choose from. Quite an experience for all. I highly recommend everyone visit soon.
Love this place! So much to do you can't really finish it all in one day! Definitely go up in the tower, the view is amazing! The outdoor play area is wonderful for kids, the train part is super cool and the have a giant slide inside for kids and the young at heart! Great place to spend a day as a family.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
It's a great place to take the kids, very educational and fun too. The gardens were beautiful. I went with a school field trip and there were several other schools there too. It didn't seem super crowded, there was so much to see. I would definitely go back again. The food was good, basic fare but a little pricey.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$21–30
this is an amazing place to let kids play in a safe, easy to venture facility. with it being indoors and outdoors, its great for any day. This place is well funded by amazing and generous donors, run by passionate caring people and visited by so many people from everywhere. I get to call this town and museum home. my family loves it! we have the membership passes, which is a great was to contribute donations while having access to an amazing indoor park with so much to do with families of all backgrounds. I've seen masses of children coming in for field trips. they are all so proud and happy to be there and the teachers are stressed but the love I see and the happiness they show to see their kids' enthusiasm. that being said, please don't be rude when these kids are running a playing in front of you, this may be some of their only chance to be there. this is a safe place to let kids play and *run to a point, that's what there to do, just like you and yours.
Such an incredible place to visit with the whole family. There is so much to explore, so it would be good to plan to visit multiple days. Our kiddos loved the dinosaurs and the rocket the most! There is an aviation exhibit, 3D educational films, natural history of TN, and so much more. Wish we had, had time to explore the little village around the museum as well.
This place was amazing! It was like walking through time for myself and it was a blast for the children! There was so many interactive things to do for the children and adults too! I would definitely recommend for anyone to go here! Yes there is a lot of area to cover and your feet will get tired, lol, but to me it was so worth going to see! They offer other attractions that you pay separately for but it's worth it to have fun and they also have a wonderful gift shop and food is quite good! Although I will say they are a little pricey but so worth it to see so much history! I would love to go again myself, we walked around several times and always found something we didn't see the first time!
Went with my 5 year old son and he had a blast. Lots of school field trips happening but still ply of room to move around. Paid extra to go to the tower unlimited access it’s a beautiful view and helps to get a layout of the park.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$11–15
