A delicious and gorgeous wedding cake, delivered and made according to exactly the photo I supplied! The cake was amazing and the staff were easy to work with. Thank you for helping make the day so special!
They made us the most amazing cake for my brothers surprise party. We told them a cake with a red dragon on it and it came out amazing! The cake was delicious too! So fresh everyone loved it!
Very disappointed with my recent wedding cake. While the flavor and taste was great, the cake was left completely empty. The design we chose was not done. The cake looked very incomplete and frankly, I could have done a better job icing it myself. I am very upset with how awful this is going to look in my wedding photos. I am NOT happy! First image is what it was supposed to look like, second image is what we received.
We just went to Dortoni’s for our cake testing for our wedding next year and the service was impeccable, the woman who helped us was great! the cake was amazing and the store was beautiful! We will definitely be going back and recommending to all our friends a familyFood: 5/5
Dortoni Port Jeff 125 W Broadway, Port Jefferson, NY 11777 IF YOU CAN DREAM IT, THEY CAN CREATE IT One of Long Island's most beloved bakeries for over 45 years, Dortoni prides itself on serving the finest in wedding & specialty cakes, European tortes, Italian pastries, fresh breads, and classic American desserts. Review: 5 out of 5 Stars Clean bakery and friendly staff. My sister and I placed an order for my parents 30th anniversary. From placing the cake order to picking it up, everything was made easy. The cake looked beautiful, and it tasted delicious. Definitely give them a try. And as always don’t forget to say Bismillah and Alhamdulilah for everything Not a Halal Bakery
Let's play a game of which macaron is from dortoni's. two of the raspberry ones are from a frozen stop and shop brand and a frozen target brand, one is from dortonis. The ones in the box are all mixed and you can't tell the difference at all. Dortoni's charges 17 dollars for 12. Stop and shop charges 6.49 for 12. Target charges 6.99 for 12. They all look exactly the same and have the same flavors. So if you are looking for baked-in-shop macarons don't go here. They don't really taste that good either and I don't appreciate being charged triple for macarons that were probably brought in from somewhere else. I wish I would have realized sooner that I could get the same macarons from stop and shop for WAY cheaper instead of giving my money to them. They also charge like 50 cents if you use a card. Who knows what else they order in as a whole sale. I've provided photos so that they don't try and flag me as a "fake" review. Don't go here.
Awful. We've tried this place so many times...and tried a variety of items before and after the name change which did not effect the goods, unfortunately. Badly freezer burnt food, like really really bad. Also had straight up stale things. They even sold us a cake saying it was one type of cake only for us to cut into it and it be something different....we wanted to like this place so bad and keep trying it hoping it's improved but I hasn't. And yes, we've given feedback directly to the bakery various times over the years nothing has changed. Just make the drive or doordash Alpine bakery. You won't be disappointed then.
Counter girls very rude. Felt rushed. Would of bought more pastries but felt uncomfortable. They made me feel like I I was taking to long. To choose my pastry. Sunday morning. Customer service trumps great pastry. There are other bakery. Just saying
I am writing about my recent experience with Dortoni hoping that the management takes what happened seriously. At work we order birthday cakes for each other so I placed an order on Wed Sep 14 at 5pm for my colleague's birthday to pick up on Thur at 6pm. My order was an 8 inch tiramisu, and I asked if they could write happy birthday on it. The person who took my order double checked with their manager, checked the spelling with me, and I paid for the full price over the phone. I went there at 6pm, and asked for my order. Soon afterwards, I could tell something was wrong because the 2 young employees were checking every single fridge... not a good sign. 20 minutes later they brought a cake that was already boxed & taped usually they confirm before putting it in the box. It was so rushed that I was handed over the cake right by the door. Of course, the box looked small for an 8 inch cake and felt light. I opened the box in my car and went straight back in. The picture I attached is the cake I was given and there was not even any writing on it. First, I wait for 30 minutes for nothing. Second, the employee lets me walk away with a $32 6-inch cake. Third, I am blindly put in a difficult situation: If I did not trust my gut instinct and not open the box right away, how embarrassing would that be at the office? And why am I letting my colleague down when I put an order in advance?! All these aside, I cannot empathize with the young employee for thinking that they got me fooled -as if I wouldn't be able to tell. They have to learn that honesty is the best policy. They should have said "We are very sorry, there has been a mishap, how can we make it up to you?" That's it. I would not be upset or writing these things here. I understand they are young and inexperienced, but this is a great opportunity for them to learn work ethics. There was not another 6-inch tiramisu? so they let me pick another 6-inch cake and I ended up leaving at 6.40pm. Sure, now there's enough cake for everyone but you cannot put a price tag on a someone's time and mood. Going to a bakery should be an exciting and happy experience, not stressful.
Best Bakery on Long Island. Maria and Alayna created the perfect Sunday morning atmosphere and vibe for our family. I got a cappuccino made with love, and a little extra cinnamon, and the pastries I got were delicious. Will definitely be returning.
