Yes, yes, yes!!! Oh my goodness gracious!! This spot is most certainly worth it! Being dairy free, I haven’t had a delicious soft serve ice cream in AGES!! When we walked past here and realized they sold vegan flavors, I thought it was way too good to be true! I’ve had vegan ice cream and vegan gelato before, but barely anywhere sells vegan soft serve, let alone actually edible! YUM!!! I got the vegan strawberry soft serve I didn’t like the banana option, but the strawberry was fantastic with chocolate sprinkles they gave a generous amount of sprinkles, just how we love it! and my boyfriend got a chocolate cone with rainbow sprinkles! We were SO happy!!! It was the best decision of the day and we are still talking about it days later! Can’t wait to visit again soon!! My girlfriend and I stopped by here on Saturday during the Dragon Boat Race Festival. We were going to get Italian ices but when I saw this ice cream shop I decided to give them a try and she did the same. I got cone of chocolate chip cookie dough & she had a cup of mint chocolate chip. As we we’re enjoying our ice cream I soon realized she had the better idea. Nonetheless we liked the ice cream. To be honest with temperatures on the lower 70s it really was the best time to have some. I hope we get to stop by again the next time we’re in PJ.
Went here today for ice cream like everybody else they raised their prices on everything. I get that part but the amount of icecream also shrunk down to half the size. Port Jefferson cares more about money now then customer service. This place used to rock. No lines today when it was a beautiful day should have been a hint. Apparently they started ripping people off a while ago.
A fun and delicious treat! Went on a Thursday and felt like I was on vacation - the area was full of people and families having a great time. The workers are friendly and helpful add a tip in their college fund jars if you can. The ice cream is creamy and delicious!
Trash. Bringing political views into your place…….a ice cream shop for families to chill out. Is ridiculous. I will never spend money in this place again. Regardless of my views!!!
Always loved their ice cream. Taste fresh as if there is a cow in the back. There is a ton of ice cream places in the area so they have a lot of competition but they are delicious, they have a lot of flavors and a lot of options, low fat, low sugar, ices, creme only, etc. Nothing was bad there. Have been going here since i went to school at Stony Brook and now live close by and come by in the summers.
Although the line is always long, it is ALWAYS worth it! This is such a fun spot down Port and my favorite thing to order changes based on my mood, but I typically order an artic swirl and it is enough ice cream to last me 3 whole days!
Dont let the line scare you away, it moves very fast. Their staff are friendly and on point. The selection of different cold treats they offer is HUGE. From regular ice cream, sundaes, and softserve, to popsicles, shakes, and more. All at very good prices. We came back as often as we could to enjoy their ice cream and were never let down.
By far the best ice cream place. Nobody does ice cream better. No matter where we go for ice cream, no matter what state we are in, the conversation always becomes, “Port Jeff Ice Cream Cafe is so much better!”... Extremely generous servings. Plenty of flavors to choose from. Great service.
The staff is so amazingly friendly! The ice cream is the best!!! Soooo many flavors and topping options! Prices are beyond reasonable! I strongly suggest going down port and getting some ice cream from PJ Ice Cream Cafe
