Dr. Katz is the best. I was very nervous about my hand surgery and he explained everything and I felt better. Highly recommend him and his staff. Crystal my nursewas awesome !!!!! She talked to me, made me feel comfortable and was a great listener.
Dr. Katz was thorough in diagnosis, and kind and reassuring during surgery. I was awake for my carpal tunnel surgery, which scared me to death… until it happened. It was painless, and I recovered quickly because there was no anesthesia! If anyone needs a good hand doctor, I highly recommend Dr. Katz at Athens Orthopedics!
Having already had one hand surgery to correct carpal tunnel issues, I am more than satisfied that they will perform the surgery on my other with the same care and knowledge. Very satisfied with how I was treated and would recommend them to anyone!
I have the highest regard and praise for Dr. David Katz. He deserves infinite stars! 2017 was my first encounter with Dr. Katz and Athens Orthopedic Clinic see my review of AOC. My dominant right hand was constantly numb and weak. I was unable to do the simplest of things effectively, including driving. Dr. Katz performed carpal and cubital tunnel surgery. After recovery I regained full use of my right hand and haven’t had any numbness since. I went back to Dr. Katz in 2022 and he performed the same surgery on my left hand, which had gotten progressively worse during the five years since my first surgery. Dr. Katz is knowledgeable, compassionate and thorough. Every question I had was answered and explained. I was nervous going into surgery, but his straightforward yet gentle beside manner put me at ease. And the second surgery was a breeze! I now sleep comfortably through the night with both hands resting behind my head- a natural tendency that woke me many times a night for years. Driving my Miata is once again a pleasure. And I can finally hold a bottle of water or a paint brush without dropping them- small tasks, taken for granted, but real issues before surgery. My hands were in the best of hands with Dr. Katz. I highly recommend anyone who is experiencing the limitations and frustration of CTS to go see this exemplary surgeon. Thank you Dr. Katz and Athens Orthopedic Clinic.
Very professional and personal experience with the entire group. Dr Katz was very I formative and thorough. Pleasent manners and professional guidance through the whole visit. Really made feel appreciated and taken care of. Highly recommend this group.
Dr. Katz is an excellent physician. He performed carpal and cubital tunnel surgery on me in 2022. His expertise not only cured my pain and numbness, but also left no scars. Dr. Katz is now treating me for tendinitis in my wrist. I'm happy to have him as my doctor.
Medical care is quickly going down the drain! To start with the receptionists are short, and uninviting. Barely said hello. Just pointed to a kiosk that YOU use to do all their work. Xray techs were very nice and efficient. Dr Katz was too quick, didn't take the time to truly listen to ALL of my symptoms and quickly concluded a simple sprain, but he wasn't correct in the diagnosis. I am not an overbearing person so when a doctor asserts themselves too much, I have a hard time speaking up for myself. That's is on me. I know how important it is to do range of motion measurements on both hands in order to get a baseline. He didn't do that. Gave me some lame sleeve to reduce swelling, but it stretches out within hours and does no good! All that time and money wasted on a pointless visit. Any chance a medical facility would make things right with a free follow up? LOL, not a chance. Too many of us patients just accept bad patient care as a necessity to getting any medical care, and it shouldn't be that way!
Dr. Katz is amazing. He's got a beautiful bedside manner and has always been very compassionate and kind. I'd recommend him to anyone who needed hand surgery or care for hand/arm injury.
Dr. Katz is absolutely the best doctor not only in his specialty but overall. As a professional myself I mean you will not find a better human being and specialist orthopedic teacher and surgeon. He is a true doctor as I am. Look doctor up in Greek.
The staff is very friendly and professional. Dr. Katz is very knowledgeable. He let me know all my options so that I could make an informed decision.
