Dr Byrne is friendly, explained the procedure, was very quick and professional. He is an outstanding doctor, I would recommend to anyone. Kevin was Amazing, scheduling my CT, explaining what to expect and also the procedure. Great at easing your mind. Perfect as the last person you speak with before your procedure. Nurse/Assistant Staff was Friendly, quick, efficient and made sure I was comfortable. In my two visits I had to only wait once for awhile at my first visit for the NP to come into the exam room. I highly recommend Athens Urology.
Staff and doctors are nice , but there is also a disconnect with communication. Was informed that a mistake was made in scheduling an appointment and I had to come back , and pay another 40 dollar co pay for something beyond my control . Don’t bother trying to dispute charges with the person who handles billing , Heather Cepeda. You won’t get anywhere, regardless of their mistake
Love all of the staff are the practice! Everybody is professional, caring, and efficient. Cassie and her team were great during the visit and with following up. Would highly recommend!
Great staff. Friendly and professional. Always great about scheduling appointments to accommodate me. Explain everything and answer all questions. Dr. Byrne's is an outstanding doctor. Trust him completely.
We are very disappointed by the lack of urgency of the office staff in returning patient phone calls. My husband has been struggling with kidney stones since Saturday. Even after our appointment on Monday, we are on day 3 of waiting for calls from the office. We were told that someone would call first thing this morning to schedule surgery, and at almost 11am, we still haven't heard from anyone, despite 2 attempts on our end to reach the office. I understand that the office is busy, but in a situation like ours, we had hoped that return calls might be expedited.
Dr. Byrnes and his Staff have always been great with me. I’ve been going there since 2010. I’ve been through several office locations with them. In May I had an in office procedure where Dr. Byrnes ran a camera in my bladder. I have Mobility issues but the staff was very attentive to me being comfortable and did not make me feel awkward. That meant a lot to me. My son was with me but it did not take long and they did a great job. I just went back today for my follow up and Dr. Byrnes gave me a new Medicine and explained everything thoroughly. He asked if I had any questions about everything we discussed. I was very pleased. I would recommend them to anyone. My son has started using them as his Urologist.
So far my experience has been excellent. Staff have been friendly. I feel like they listen to what I have to say. The doctor/nurse practioner do not seem rushed when in the exam room. Last visit the doctor asked me three times if I had any other questions before sending me on my way.
This would be a 5 star operation unless you are disabled or use any kind of assist to get around. This facility only planned 4 four??!! accessible parking spots. Observing the traffic during my past two visits, a more realistic allotment would be 12 twelve adding four more on each side, converting the first six spots on each side of the building, removing the curbs, repainting the parking spots and posting the signage. I easily counted 12 disabled patients during the course of my most recent visit. Every restroom 5 I saw inside near the lab was accessible and that was in just one corner of the overall building. I realize that this is a big ask, but the patient traffic sure seems to support my observation. Other than that, it is hard t mobile find fault with this practice.
Let's face it folks, NOBODY wants to be at ANY doctors office at ANTIME; HOWEVER, I am SOOOOO incredibly blessed to have THIS doctor's office to turn to during an unfortunate time in my medical history. Everyone from the very first greeting, to the doctor herself, and everyone in between has been excellent to work with! I can only imagine the discipline, effort, stamina and focus this type of work requires on the daily. A very, VERY special thanks to all of you for doing work I could never do, even as industrious as I am.
Updated I am editing my review and increasing it to 3 stars, and I appreciate the response. As a suggestion, when making referrals: 1 Please do not assume the practice you are referring a patient to is following up with the patient in a timely manner. 2 If you are following up with the practice, let the patient know. All we needed was occasional follow up from your office letting us know you were trying. We’ve been waiting on a CHOA referral for almost 2 months. Two visits and repeated calls have resulted in empty promises and zero follow up. Even after filling out their satisfaction survey with my complaints there has been no follow up.
