Watkin's is a hidden gem! While awaiting a table at a nearby restaurant, we decided to give this local eatery a try. The attentive service, friendly staff, and flavorful classics definitely leave nothing to be desired.

We had a fantastic dinner at Watkins. One of the best steaks I’ve had, and the octopus was amazing! Definitely will go back next time we’re in town!

This first visit was between my work shifts on a Tuesday. I got there right after they opened at 3:30 pm. Having looked at the online menu previously, I ordered the Crab Cake from the small plates section of the menu. It was delicious, but I wish it could have been just a smidge less browned, not that I didn’t practically inhale it as it was. The sauce was fantastic. Great selection of bourbons, beautiful clean space, but most importantly fantastic service.

Such a lovely quaint spot in Mountain Brook! Amazing cuisine and detailed attention. Sat on the back porch, had the octopus small plate…delicious! Short rib entree with peanut curry was exquisite!! Definitely a return visit in the future!

We highly recommend @watkinsbranch! A cozy yet sleek atmosphere that gives off good vibes with some greats dishes to pair. A Mountain Brook treasure in our book.

Great service and amazing food! I had the Kale Salad and Farm Burger. Both were very delicious. The truffle fries compliments the burger very well. The staff were very friendly and attentive. If you’re in Birmingham come check them out.

Can’t say enough good things about this quaint, eclectic little spot in Mtn. Brook!! The drinks are AMAZING! I didn’t have high hopes for the drinks bc they are different and really thoughtfully hand crafted with juniper, mint, egg whites, for example. Let me just say that was the best mixed drink I have ever had! Their small plates/apps? Ok so the pears wrapped in prosciutto grilled with honey and goat cheese? Do not pass these up!!! Wow!!! The truffle fries are exceptional as well!! Go on a night when football is on, you will get seated right away!! That is if you don’t care about football

A wonderful spot in Mountain Brook, the signature cocktails are exquisite and the food menu is filled with delightful twists on classic bar food. I will certainly be dining there again.

Watkins Branch has the best burgers and crab cakes in Birmingham. The staff, chefs and manager are very polite and helpful. We will definitely be back again soon for great food and hospitality. Thanks for a great meal.

This is a great find! They have a wonderful selection of bourbon and the bartender has some great cocktails to choose from, too! I recommend the Blackberry Bramble while it's in season. The menu is small, but everything is made to perfection! I would recommend the Elk Burger.
