We didn't explore the entire park, only the lookout tower area. What an incredible view! The park was well maintained. Loved the retro playground equipment! Reminded me of my childhood! Beautiful picnic area. We'll return to explore the other part of the park!
Great spot for picnics and experiencing nature. The watchtower view was wonderful. There are multiple trails in the area too. I did the Minie Ball Trail, which was an easy one. Almost Heaven...
Amazing view! And one of the new state seats is here as well. It's quite low to the ground though. Very hard to stand back up.
Beautiful park with great history behind it. Short trail for beautiful views and very friendly helpful staff. The state also put up a beautiful swing with a selfie stand that adds to the beauty. Playground: Strategically placed picnic benches for beautiful views and easy access. Picnic area: Rustic but fun playground near the watch tower.
This park is beautiful! There is a playground, bathrooms, and a picnic shelter. Stop by and have your picture taken on the swing that says Almost Heaven! Playground: A slide, see-saws, and swings. Restrooms: No running water, but restrooms are available. Picnic area: There are picnic tables and also a large shelter.
What a great adventure we had at Droop Mountain. Lots to see and learn. There's a look out tower a picnic area and playground.
The tower is always the favorite, the view is beautiful, anytime you go to Droop ,take the time and stop at Bear town. Beartown pictures included. Playground: Nice place for the kids to play. Restrooms: Outdoor restrooms Dog-friendliness: Lots of walking trails. Picnic area: Lots of picnic areas.
One of my favorite state parks! The views are amazing. There is also a Wild and Wonderful WV swing there!
Great place to learn about West Virginia's history. Beautiful view once you climb the tower.
Pretty cool views from the tower! Worth the stop for a quick picture and read about the history of the battlefield.
