Needed some new hiking boots. Stopped by and found a pair of Columbia shoes on a great sale. Staff was friendly and helpful. I was at the Columbia store a few days later and found the same shoes for 4x what I paid at DSW.
I never thought that I would be writing a review for dsw, but here we are or should I say of the unculturally ignorant workers. I walked in looked around, took me a while to find something. Not once did any of their workers there greet me, ask me if I was doing ok, if I needed help or anything. As people began to come into the store I heard the girl in the front from all the way in the back say “Welcome in”. I thought “Ok Kahlea you didn’t get a greeting but no big deal”. Then another lady who was not even in The store as long as I was, was asked if she was doing ok, if she needed any assistance. As I struggled to find a pair of shoes, I was thinking “I wish she would’ve asked me if I needed assistance because I need some right now. The icing on the cake, a pathetic probably new genZ girl rang me up at the register. She then began to search my box of shoes as if I had stolen something. I glanced to the side in amazement that she would think that. She seemed to be very nervous ringing me up. This told me two things1. This specific store is not used to dealing with people outside of their own race, which is sad. 2. All of the employees working 6/14/23, the morning shift need a training on how to treat people of All cultures because with the mentality I saw presented today, they will never go anywhere further in life, until that mentality is broken and changed. And with that I thought Kahlea, rise above you own a business, they don’t. Take this as a leaning example to train your staff to embrace people from all walks of life. On a side note I love my new shoes!
First time ever I had an issue returning a pair of shoes that left me with blisters. Was told wont take them back if they have been worn outside, hasn’t been the case previously. Will try the other store on Sheridan, never any issues there.
Not much in the way of office shoes. Been there before and did not have any luck than either. They had a lot of shoes, just not what I was looking for.
I was out of town and missed my ship to store pickup. I appreciate Mirra and Molly helping me find my shoes again! And Mirra honored my discounts!
Got double charged for a pair of shoes and when I called they were unhelpful and rude. Paige, the manger, was not going to assist with trying to correct the issue, wouldn’t even try to look up my account or check the cameras, she just told me “I’m trying to help you by telling you to call customer service”. Called customer service and they are now saying they can’t do anything, the store has to refund in store purchases. Make sure to check your receipt before you leave the store, cause you will have to hassle to get it back! UPDATE: the manger is just going to venmo me the money so I don’t have to call again? I don’t understand why an employee has to reimburse me?
Bought a pair of Clark's clogs. Good location and fair price. Would recommend.
Needed to return a pair of shoes that started ripping off during first time of me wearing them… had to spend a good half hour explaining that I need my money back. They just didn’t want to except them! Customer service is at a very poor level. Plus prices are pretty high too. Would not shop again.
Went into this location and had a shoe set aside. Went back the next day to purchase them and they took down the sale price. I called and spoke to a Manager and she was very dismissive and refused to honor the price or offer any resolution. Completely pathetic Customer Service.
They have a decent selection of shoes here. Some are stylish, others, not so much. However, on another note, the customer service is lacking professionalism. The employees appear friendly but they can turn quickly. I witnessed the employees engaging with a customer and as soon as the lady walked away the employees began talking smack about her. That was a turnoff for me as a customer.
