Beautiful facility with tons of fitness equipment, pool, child care etc. love all of the Life Fitness, Hammer Strength and Cybex cardio and strength equipment. Highly recommended for any one looking for a community to encourage them on their fitness and over all wellness journey.
Love the day to day staff and workers but the BACK OFFICE and HEAD trainers are terrible people. They keep the smile and act like they are there to help but they disrespect their worker, talk to them any type of way and in some instances fire people for DOING THEIR JOB.
Fine establishment with good & routinely cleaned equipment. A wonderful place to go if you're over 60 or have children to take to sports classes, but I would most definitely recommend another Gym of any kind if you would like to exercise in peace from the judgement of the aforementioned demographic - and it would help the staff to be on the side of those victimized UPDATED - George and I very much talked and my membership record won't be located because it was terminated as I no longer wish to ever be at such a place.
Michael was very helpful and gave a thorough, truly inspiring tour of the facility. 10 stars
This Y seemed to be hurting a little bit. There’s a urinal in the mens locker room that his been broken and taped off for at least a month. The hot tub is broken then fixed then broken again and again. I had an interaction with a trainer that was very frustrating as well. Almost as if they have no clue how to use etiquette with other members of the gym. I know that since the tornado hit the Andover Y that the surrounding Y’s are seeing more and more attendance but there is also broken machines that aren’t marked for repairs and when speaking to employees about the problems we’ve been met with an indifference. We love the YMCA and what it offers. It just feels like it’s not being taken care of lately.
Definitely nothing like the Andover YMCA and the people working there were super rude. Me and my friend asked to have our locker unlocked. A girl named Elizabeth was asked to help us. She was snotty and rude. They need more training on how to properly treat their customers. We won’t be going back.
I go to the ymca a lot, and to this one about half the time. They have a nice clean facility and friendly staff. The cardio room is a little small but I never have a problem getting a machine even when they are busy, which is pretty often. The location is super convenient for me cause I live like five minutes away.
Friendly, very clean, polite to elderly people which I am. They have every workout machine you could want, great pools and saunas in the shower facilities. In short I love it! Can't wait for this pandemic to be done with so it can reopen!
As far as workout facilities go it's amazing and clean as far as the early learning center goes would not reccomend this location yes they remodeled however poor experience with one of staff & I don't feel it was handled correctly by director. Always pressed about payments before they were due. Save some money put your kid in petite academy or elsewhere. Very disappointed how it was operated.
Very good place to work out. They have an indoor track for walking/running and many different machines and equipment. I go at different times of day and never have a problem finding an elliptical because they have so many! The kids zone staff are all great with my son. He's 20 months and some days doesn't want to be left there while I work out. The staff always try to help him feel more comfortable, which I appreciate. Locker rooms, bathrooms, and showers are always clean. We used to have a membership at a gym, and I was worried switching to the YMCA would mean a step down in quality, but it is exactly the same equipment as the gym at 25% of the cost! We've had a membership at the YMCA for 5 years and we'll never go back to a traditional gym again.
