Pros: Relatively renovated units W/D, dishwasher, etc., elevator building, relatively clean trash room on every floor, safe area Cons: Old looking hallways, not very convenient to any major subways, extremely slow response times/lack of care from management, lots of maintenance issues both with elevators, gym equipment, and in-unit, saw 2 cockroaches on the 11th floor, some of the doormen are not that friendly
Horrible experience. This place has been one big construction project for 2 years. It's rat infested and a terrible place to live. The positive review s must be fake
Such beautiful apartments. The people here r great. Friendly.
I just finished up my lease and had a great experience here! Great location close to Grand Central. I'd renew my lease if I could but have to move out of the city. Amazing leasing team. I highly recommend this building to anyone looking to start off in city or if you're looking for a long term home
I lived on the first floor of the Embassy House for one year starting in August of 2017, and moved out as soon as my lease was up. It was my first apartment after moving to NYC for college, and the experience has scarred me for life, which is why I’m now feeling the need to write a review. Long story short, the building was roach infested. I kept the place perfectly clean, and for some reason, the more I cleaned - the more roaches I saw. At least 1-3 per day either coming out of the tub/sink drains, on the back patio, and even through tiny openings in the walls. The biggest ones I saw were in the laundry room and hallways, which was a whole other daunting experience. When my roommate and I filed a complaint, they finally had someone come in who just laid down sticky traps and did nothing else to solve the entire building’s problem. Granted, there was a restaurant in the same building at the time who received a low rating from the health department and moved to a different location shortly after. But after the restaurant closed, we started seeing more roaches than ever throughout the building. There was also construction going on in the apartment above ours, so that definitely didn’t help. One star for the great doormen we had, but that is all this “luxury” apartment building has going for it. I now live in a huge one bedroom apartment in a small building in Harlem and it’s 1/3 of the price of the studio I had. I would choose this over living in any roach infested apartment building that dares to call itself luxury any day.
