Highly efficient, informative web site needs to be reviewed by customers before going to this office. It helps alot regarding preparation, required documents gathering. Making Online appointment cuts down the waiting time to nearly zero. Some employees MUST study the web site in detail and learn how to complete their daily responsibilities and not be in conflict with the written statements of the web site. According to the website, credit card payments are welcomed for services, eventhough some employee may haggle for payment in cash, as if a vendor making a sale on a street corner ... Overall, very good service is provided in this office.
Absolutely ridiculous! They complicate everything. Half of the employees are barely doing any work. What’s the point of giving appointments if I have to wait for 2 hours? Seems like they got a bunch of people from Turkey who don’t know anything about customer service. Some employees think they have the right to act rude just because you asked a question which they failed to answer numerous times. Make sure you call and ask what documents are required from you!! But don’t be surprised if they come up with something else when you’re there!
Nice and clean building. Staff are friendly. If you are here for Turkish ID or anything that requires biometric photograph, you have to do it outside. There is a place close to the consulate which they follow the photo requirements. That place is at 805 3rd ave and the place is called thispix. Can not say that photographer is cheerful but he does the job. Fyi, don’t wear white color since it mixes with white photo background. Just thought this info might be useful. Other than that service is great at the consulate.
I have had visited Turkish consulate for 2 years for different applications. And every time I got a great service. The security personnel were humble and guided me through the consular section happily. The officer taking in my documents was experienced and knew the exact format of all documents that were needed. Just make sure that you have all the documents in order according to the checklist and there is no way you can face any trouble with the application.
Employees were very helpful as I had issues with my passport. Very good, quick and friendly service! They did everything they could to help me and in such a short period of time.
Dear Mark, you should go to the American consulate in Istanbul. You have to wait 2 days consulate staff treat you like garbage. be patient
Honestly the rudest humans I have ever came across. They will not answer phones. If the do they’re extremely rude. I got in emergency situations and instead of helping she got super defensive. They could really used some employees with basic manners
Quite unprofessional. I feel like every second I spent here waiting for my appointment which was more than an hour the time I set. was waste. Also, most of the info they have on their website is straight up wrong.
I had to wait an hour and a half on the phone. It's ridiculous to wait this long on the phone ask a simple question about appointment regarding to receive passports. And there is no information about this subject on the website. And the website keeps crashing. Language button doesn't work. I expect more than this from Republic of Turkey. Shame. I have still no answer to my question. I had to go to consulate all the way to Manhattan. Let's see what adventures awaits me when I go there.
They don’t know about the all visa documents they just read whatever specified online.
