The service here is terrible they way the lady at the window made me feel was like I was completely stupid. The way she threw my papers and id cards was just crazy. I felt so bad knowing that at the end of the day we are from the same country and that’s how they treat and welcome you to their establishment. My feeling were so hurt I cried! If I ever thought about visiting holland again it would have to be for an emergency! The whole entire time being in there I was uncomfortable and I just wanted to go home. I guess once she sensed that I wasn’t beat and just ready to walk out half way through out my application she smiled here and there and tried to crack a joke. The thought of me renewing my Dutch passport would never cross my mind again. This was and will be my last time !
Netherlands have outsourced visas to VFS who are pain to deal with. They are rude, inconsiderate, and incompetent especially if you are not an able bodied person. Not to mention the outrageously unfriendly website, and customer support.
5/10/2023WHAT A JOKE, I HAVE BEEN CHECKING VFS APPOINTMENT SYSTEM FOR THE PAST 72 HOURS AND IT KEEPS SAYING NO APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE FOR ANY LOCATIONS IN THE US. SPOKE TO A LIVE PERSON AND WAS TOLD TO KEEP CHECKING THE SYSTEM BECAUSE THERE IS NO OTHER WAY. BIG FAT JOKE.05/10/23.WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT TO GET A APPOINTMENT?
I was going to visit Netherlands for a tourism. I payed for my appointment and got a checklist what is needed for a tourist visa. But I went there , they asked me 3different additional documents which was NOT on the checklist I asked why do you need extra documents, oh it’s the proof that you come back . It is very odd.Netherlands is a great country, I don’t think if someone wants to stay there to work , especially when you don’t speak Dutch language . I waited for 4weeks to get that appointment too. Why do they complicate so much with visa. 2years ago I got my Schengen visa from German consulate and I didn’t have any issues.
Avoid this place. They misspelt my name on the visa, and also damaged my passport. Now I cannot make my trip and have to jump through more hoops to replace the passport and other visas. Can't believe an embassy would be this irresponsible. And they provide no apologies or response when communicated about it via email or phone. Absolutely no accountability.
The staff were all extremely help and friendly. I had come in having filled out the wrong application form and they reassured me everything was fine and gave me the proper application to fill out. Once done, the entire process was handled very professionally and proceeded without issue. Afterwards I got my Schengen Visa in 3 business days, showing how efficient the staff work.
Outstanding performance! I renewed my passport here a few years ago and the entire process was truly painless.
Very nice and considerate people they are! I had an appointment with italian consulate, as our trip was to both Italy and Netherlands, the Italians were very rude and they made a girl cry because she missed some documents. Anyways, they told me that I should get a Visa from Netherland because my stay was a couple of hours more there, however, my first destination was Italy. I emailed the consulate and explained my situation and they set me an urgent appointment, and resolved my problem.
Wonderful service @ the Dutch consulat ! I lost my passport and received a new passport within one week. The consular officer Angela W. went out of her way to assist me in getting my new passport on time.
You might as well call or email in advance to find out what you need to bring for your passport, because their document checklist online is incomplete. Our family had situations with a single parent, as well as someone else who lost their passport, and none of that was PROPERLY addressed on their document checklist. When we got there, they asked for a bunch of stuff that wasn't on the list. We actually had to show them an email conversation because one family member was almost turned away because the staff didn't know what they were talking about when it came to a lost passport. The list also didnt mention anything regarding mailing the passports, so we had to run all around the city to get shipping labels. The Boston office was much nicer and I wish they had kept it open so I wouldn't have to travel to NYC - taking 2 days off from work and getting a hotel room, only to find out the checklist was incomplete and getting turned away. Wasted trip because of the misleading information provided online.
