A Student Political Organization affliated with the Democratic Party
In order to promote a better America, with equality, opportunity, and freedom within a just and string society, we dedicate ourselves to organizing the participation of students, faculty, staff and spouses in the organization which shall be known as the College Democrats of America at ETSU. As members of the college community at East Tennessee State University we pledge ourselves to uphold principles that serve to enhance the dignity and worth of all men and women and to actions based on those principles. As Democrats we pledge ourselves to continuing the great ideas and traditions of our party, city, state, nation and society, without regard to race, religion, origin, age, infirmity, socioeconomic status or sexual orientation.
Understanding the importance of participation in the Democratic Party to the preservation of our values and principles, we pledge to help organize and activate the power of our nation’s Democratic students to further the philosophy of the Democratic Party.
The ETSU College Democrats are dedicated to the advancement of the ideals of the Democratic Party and increasing political awareness at East Tennessee State University
