Theatre & Dance produces 4 Main Stage productions per year in the Bud Frank Theatre or in Studio 205 our Black-Box Theatre. The Bud Frank Theatre is located in Gilbreath Hall on ETSU's main campus. This 209 seat proscenium stage is named after the Theatre Program founder Harold (Bud) Frank, who taught Theatre along with his wife Daryl. Additionally experimental works are produced by the Division and by its student organization, The Patchwork Players, in Studio 205. Studio 205 is located in the Campus Center Building on the main campus.

The ETSU Division of Theatre & Dance offers professional training in a liberal arts setting. The Division prepares undergraduate students for careers in the performing arts and theatre education by providing a broad-based foundation in theatre and dance through individualized mentoring. The faculty is comprised of working professional artists dedicated to advancing the discipline, offer instruction in stage and film performance, dramaturgy, design and technology, and unique areas such as Aerial Dance and Entertainment Rigging. The program is distinct in that it focuses on addressing each student's needs whether she or he seeks a career as performer, designer, technician, educator or other chosen profession. ETSU Theatre and Dance strives to produce well-rounded graduates who are skilled in thinking critically and who contribute as artists and citizens to the life of their communities, the region, and the larger society.
