Great place to visit. They also have a nice cottage as kids playing Center and a Tavern full of history features. Clean and neat everywhere with professional and friendly staff.
We got married here! It seems like the more common wedding venue pick is the Burr Mansion, but the museum is a great choice too and was perfect for our 60-person headcount. On the day, they had everything taken care of and it went awesome. Everyone had a great time! Thank you!
Great place for a walk. Many historic buildings on campus and around neighborhood.
Recently redone permanent exhibit is fantastic with local history highlighted. Changing exhibits are well planned and informative. We go monthly to ensure catching them.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
Recently moved to the area and decided to check out the museum. While it is a small collection, it was great to learn more about our new home. After discussing with the friendly staff, we learned about upcoming special events and plan to visit many more times.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

Had lots of interesting stuff. Some artifacts did not have explanations and left me hanging.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Took my 7th grade on a field trip here. It was an amazing experience and the kids really enjoyed the tour and the "scavenger hunt" in the cemetery. Highly recommend the tour.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait

Great history lesson about Fairfield! Although the museum was small it contained something for everyone. A costume fort for kids, historic census for genealogy enthusiasts, immigrant welcome gallery, artifacts for the historian and integrated technology through video. Arriving shortly before closing we were still able to see the full Museum. We purchase the comic entitled "The Culper Ring -The Spies of George Washington" As graphic novel enthusiastic we enjoyed purchasing the local comic produced by the Fairfield Museum.
