I met Joe at FishLife Aquariums because I wasn't happy with the person servicing my tanks at the time. He came to my apartment and found so many issues. He corrected them all on the spot. I had a salt reef tank and a fresh water tank. 2 weeks later we had a 2 day power outage. I was not in town and when I returned everything in my salt tank had died. I called Joe. He came by and cleaned out the entire tank and all systems. It all looked brand new. He salvaged all the equipment. I didn't have the funds to redo it as a salt reef tank. Joe suggested African Cichlids. I went to FishLife Aquariums and picked out all the stuff for the inside the tank. Then I picked out all the Cichlids. I had seen a couple online and Joe called his distributor and located them. He came by the next day with everything and set it all up. See picture attached. FishLife does the monthly service on both my tanks. I get a call from them and they work around my availability. I could not be happier with FishLife Aquariums. I suggest you stop by their shop. What a selection of fish, corals and tank supplies. They have stuff for any budget. Entry level to professional. The staff there is so friendly and knowledgable. They will talk you through all your options. Sean
The staff at Fishlife Aquariums is as knowledgeable as they are passionate about the hobby and this equates to excellent personalized service. Just last week we visited their showroom and watched a new addition to their staff discuss best practice for balancing the pH of a saltwater tank at length with a customer who left with a smile. We've worked with Fishlife Aquariums from the very beginning when we crafted their visual identity and we've watched closely as this start up has satisfied client after client, blooming into the gem of Long Island aquaculture that it is today.
My friend was looking for an aquarium for his son and Joe was more then helpful in pairing them with the fish tank of their dreams. Fishlife did an amazing job and was extremely professional, timely, and the install was seamless. I would recommend to anyone thinking about purchasing a fish tank small or large should contact Fishlife Aquariums.
Met with the owner, he was a nice guy just as passionate about the hobby as any long time fish keeper is. Staff is friendly as well. I purchased an aquarium light for my planted tank at a great price from here. The store leans more towards the saltwater side of fish keeping, but there are some things the store caters to for fresh water owners.
Joe and his crew are attentive to all our needs when it comes to our tank. Fishlife makes monthly house calls for maintenance and upkeep. We couldn't be happier with our decision to utilize this company. The store is super nice also!! Always have different types of fish at their location.
Fishlife has the best selection of African Cichlids and Corals on the island, period. I've never seen the various types of Peacock Cichlids available there anywhere else, and they have the a coral frag display that runs almost the full length of the store, which is pretty damn cool. I'd recommend Fishlife to anybody looking for great informative customer service, reasonable pricing, and exceptionally good looking and often uncommon fish.
Dove right into an established tank. Could not do it with out them. After purchasing a second hand reef tank I was lost and totally over my head. I was inexperience in salt water reef tanks. Their staff could not be more helpful. I am so thankful they were able to guide me step by step along with my research I was able to fully maintain my tank. Fast forward a few months now I continue to reach out to them for advice and products to keep my tank thriving and healthy. Very friendly and kind staff!! I would give 6 Stars if I could! What a beautiful showroom! The coral farm on site is really breathtaking. The owner Joseph and his staff exude such great passion and enthusiasm for aquaculture - Long Islander's would be misguided to visit a generic pet store for their aquarium needs when we all have access to Fishlife Aquariums.
I purchased a canister filter here for my Cichlid tank...The staff was informative and very helpful. I now go here for all of my fish stuff and my dad has even started going here. Great atmosphere and friendly staff!
Knowledgeable staff that were courteous and attentive to my needs. Wide variety of coral and fish that are perfect for my home aquarium. This place also offered service for my tank for a competitive price. 10/10 wpuld recommend.
